Thought I'd post this up here a buddy of mine who owns a shop in Northern California has came up with a solution to mount a dual ARB compressor underneath your hood and I think it's the best one yet. I've been searching for a underhood mount for a long time and I haven't found one that works for me. Here's a few pictures of how the install looks I also have a video on my Instagram @flexyjl.
The install basically breaks down like this:
The PCM gets disconnected from the bracket as well as the stock windshield wiper tank. The new bracket mounts the PCM at an angle below the bracket for the dual compressor. Like in the pictures, the new washer fluid tank is about 20 or 22 oz and gets mounted on a bracket by the brake fluid reservoir, and uses the stock sending unit and low fluid sensor.

It works with most inner fender liners I'm currently running EVO inner fender liners. And that's basically it I won't link the website cuz I'm not sure if I can to be honest with you but if I can then I'll put it in one of the comments or I will edit this post you can also PM me and I'll send you a link to his website.

Hmmm interesting.

I'm a big fan of under-hood mount for the ARB, I've never been a fan of putting it in the passenger compartment (e.g. under the passenger seat) as a source of heat and noise.

There are a couple details you've omitted that would be helpful to folks looking to replicate what you've done. What engine configuration is it? As I'm sure you know, the underhood configuration of the wrangler changes in important ways between the various engine configurations:

2.0 4cyl turbo
2.0 + eTorque
4xE 2.0 plug-in-hybrid

3.6 V6
3.6 + eTorque

3.0 ecoDiesel

392 V8

For example, the grimm off road ARB compressor mount behind the fender well only works with some of those - I know it works with V6 non-eTorque, because that's what I have.

Also, you mention replacing the washer fluid tank with a different one, but don't mention what the source for this replacement is?

I'd like to see pics of the install completed. Looks like clearances near the A/C lines are tight. Especially after you get the compressor filters installed.

As far as I know it only works on the V6 at this time. Varozza 4x4 outfitters makes and sells this mount.

Clearances are fine like I said if you go to my Instagram I have a video up I tried to post it here but it was too big of a file. I've already used it a couple times and it's really nice to air up 40-in tires in about 10 to 12 minutes from 3 psi to 28 PSI. Just like on my JK I just moved the AC lines just a little bit so I have about an inch of clearance I also have a remote air check on mounted on my front bumper. Later on I'll take a picture of the clearances if you need me to....

Ah, so the kit includes the new replacement tank. Your photos only showed an old tank; I was wondering if it maybe the replacement needed to be junkyard sourced.

I never showed the old tank as far as I know that little white one is the new tank like I said I posted a video up on my Instagram but you could always go to his website and look at the pictures he has he has lots of them and actually I saw another post here that somebody already made that had just a couple pictures.

The Grimm Off-road mount that puts it under the fender liner is a much easier install. I used it on my ‘21 JLR 6 cylinder e-torque, and it only took about an hour. Very clean. https://www.grimmoffroad.com/jl-arb-twin-compressor-mounting-bracket-kit.html?amp=1

I almost bought this but with wiring accessories and a fuse box for switches I decided I had enough stuff under the hood to take up space. I’m using the MORE mount in the back of the Jeep.

I think it was the new tank with the old pump installed.

Here’s what the Grimm Mount looks like on my JLR 6 cylinder. It includes the switch. Very clean and an easy install. The compressor is behind the wheel well and has a heat shield.

ARB won’t warranty your compressor if it’s mounted under the hood. Apparently JLs just trap too much heat.
