So...there is this one mud pit at a trail I frequent that is always full of water and really deep. There is a bypass and I use it 100% of the time. Yesterday, it was pretty dried out and I gave it a shot. Turns out that the drop in is pretty nasty and I was almost immediately on my diffs, rear LCAs and shock mounts.
Of course it was the one day that I forgot to switch on the kill switch for the winch, under the hood. It was quite a balancing act jumping on the bumper, opening the hood and walking across to the passenger side to flip the switch. The winch pulled me out in a couple of seconds and I was on my way.
I was concerned with the size of the only tree available but it held fine.
