https://www.autoblog.com/2022/02/10/stellantis-inline6-new-york-auto-show-jeep/

The new Stellantis inline six-cylinder engine has pretty much reached "open secret" status within the auto industry, but we've yet to see concrete plans for its introduction. Well, the wait is coming to an end. Jeep appears ready to debut its new Hemi replacement at the New York International Auto Show in April.
During a media roundtable in Chicago, Autoblog asked Jeep brand chief Jim Morrison whether he had anything to share regarding the new turbocharged engine; Morrison answered our question with another: "Are you coming to New York?"

I watched a video from mopar insiders today. They were saying it will have several different HP ratings rumored to be 300-525 HP

It's been rumored to be around 100Hp/Liter in NA and 150Hp/Liter in Turbo config.

So 300Hp and 450Hp.

Perhaps we see a special SRT version that is tuned above that.

I would make sense that it is based on the 2.0 inline 4 architecture. It is .5 liters per cylinder. Adding 2 cylinders equals 3.0 liters.

The most recent report/rumors were stating ~400HP/TQ for a standard turbo version and ~500HP/TQ for the high-output turbo version that achieved the additional power via electric. Could be mistaken, but don't recall them mentioning any naturally aspirated variant for the GME i6T at all.

Honestly don't see any point of a 300HP NA variant when we already have the 2.0T and 3.6 Pentastar that are both already very close to that segment. The Bronco already has their boosted 2.7L pushing 330HP/415TQ and the Defender has their P400 supercharged i6 pushing 395HP/406TQ (both available on their cheapest base models and both available in 2-doors). Jeep doesn't have anything to compete in that particular price/power segment at all.

Hope it's coming to the Wrangler, hope it's actually available in 2-door, and hope there's still a variant that doesn't warrant a ridiculous $75k+ price tag.
I'm hoping that Jeep will continue to be protective of the Wrangler and try out new engine technology on another model for a couple of years before migrating them over here. Glad they took the time on other models to learn that MultiAir was problematic and they didn't include it in the 2.0T engine.

It's hard to say, but as I mentioned in my previous post just before yours, I think Jeep is already behind the curve a few years compared to their most direct competitors. If anything, maybe they'll add the new GME i6T as an option along side one or more of their existing engines?

Well the current 2.0L is 150Hp/liter in it's current offering. Then of course e-Torque or 4XE hybrid on top of that in some applications.

So a 3.0L should be similar; but could always be tuned down depending on application.

I'd not be surprised if we see the 2.0L become the base, and the 3.0L become the option and the 3.6L get shuffled off. This would help the CAFE #'s and slow down payments to Tesla for carbon credits.
