I know its a little over $200 but the Tazer JL mini is awesome! Especially for the Rubicon models, it lets you access so much more than the factory limits. https://www.zautomotive.com/product/tazer-jl-mini/

Another great upgrade is the CMM grab bar ball mount.
I have the less expensive Tazer Lite (just over $200). I was only interested to two features: disabling ESS and adjusting for 35" tires.

Interesting idea. Got any more pictures of how you secured the light back there?
I actually just unscrewed the light from the bracket and stuck a piece of industrial velcro (where both sides are hard/sharp) on the light and stuck it to the tire carrier.

For the Rubicon with the Tazer JL Mini you have the ability to use the lockers in 2HI and 4HI along with disconnecting the swaybar regardless of 2 or 4 wheel drive.

Great suggestions! Already part of both... two kits in Jeep. Not to mention stickers for extinguisher and First Aid on the Jeep. I would add in training not only for basic first aid but a bit more and the tools that you'll be using.

My kits are a "boo-boo kit" which is basic first aid that I put together the other is a full field trauma kit with the mentions and more. I am a certified Wilderness First Aid Responder, and past history as a backcountry guide and naturalist really let you know what is needed...
Very nice. You hope to never have too use it, but when your 30 mile in the woods and need it for yourself or others, it is priceless items. I don’t think you can ever go overboard

Favorite mod for under $200? That's tough. . . I guess it depends on what I'm using at that moment. However, here's a few of them:

Bolt Hood Lock (highly recommend if you live in the city and love that it uses my factory key): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QY8JVT3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also have to have the locking gas cap: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BQG4JHZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Better have these to keep the wheels on in the city: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CGN68XW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Rugged Ridge Entry Guards (cover way better than most so you're not scratching your paint):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L5WBR66/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Dress up the pedals with a little bling bling: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QK66TJD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

More organizing - Great for the GF's cell phone and lipstick: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X75B362/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

More for the center console - shocked at how well this fits and works. . . . very solid: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0836FMN64/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Like this dead pedal - worked great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RBSQ5JM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Grab handles - work great with the SOT: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018NU9KPY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Tuffy Tailgate Box (admittedly over $200 - sorry): https://www.tuffyproducts.com/product/578/tailgate-lockbox-jeep-wrangler-jl

Got this and mounted it inside of my Tuffy Tailgate box to mount molle stuff to. Just pop riveted it in. . . . Works great for mounting stuff inside the tailgate. Toying with the idea of mounting one on the outside too. We'll see. . . . https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CG9QFY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Phone Holder (but used only the arm and replaced the actual holder with one that charges): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0814RDLFK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Used an actual holder that charges from ProClip: https://www.proclipusa.com/category/iphone-car-mounts

But of course, you got to protect your screen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BRGMVXT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Absolutely love these guys for storage in the rear from XG Cargo. They are AWESOME: https://xgcargo.com/products/jl-gama-rear-storage-bags

Probably my favorite mod however was the Hot Head Headliner for my SOT. Admittedly over the $200 limit by a few bucks. . . Makes the cabin so much quieter and also temp controls. Give the top a "finished look" For the life of me, can't figure out why Jeep didn't ship the top this way from the get-go: https://hotheadheadliners.com/products/sky-one-touch-headliner?variant=32640499843138

Anyway, hope these help. . . .

Heat the sticker with a hairdryer. Pick a corner and peel slowly at 180 deg. Keep applying heat. The vinyl material on the visor will pull up somewhat with the sticker. Don't worry, it will reset quickly. (The visor may look like its made from a solid piece of plastic, but there is a vinyl cover on it.)
I tried to remove mine and this is what happened...JK

Love my Taser
I use the brake hold every time I stop at a light. I don't have a winch yet but the anchor mode is great too. Love the additional features like the 3rd brake light flash and I'm always turning on the light show for my kids.

$4 for name badging. Yep...$4.

A $4 roll of permanent vinyl at Hobby Lobby and a Cricut complements of the local public library...

Jeep Wrangler JL Your favorite mod under $200 0970C2F1-65A2-4211-8D42-4FD3D02EB043

I used the Sofachrome font and expanded the kerning to get the look & layout & the correct size and fill to the appropriate bounding box for the hood layout; then used Inkscape to convert to SVG so that the cricut could do its thing.

If that makes no sense, then let me rephrase to "I sat at the computer and tinkered quite a bit so that the layout looked good, filled the space allocated, and wasn't hard at all."

And if that's still confusing, everyone else seems to go to @pixeldecals with good/great results (well, except for one guy, but there's always gotta be that one guy, amiright!? ).

Edit:
Also shown:
  • The JL (Zeitgeist) has 35% VLT tint in the doors. That was $30 and self-applied. and there's enough left over to do another 2-Door Wrangler [To the guy earlier who paid $600? WTF?!]
  • The JK in the back has 20%VLT tint in the doors. That matches the hardtop tinting quite close - 20%VLT is just a shade darker. It was also $30 and self-applied (and also has enough left over for a 2nd 2-door wrangler job).
  • The JL's grill and headlight inserts (aka "mascara and eye liner") were $30.
  • The black-out badging ("Jeep") and door keyholes on both the JL and JK are complements of plastidip. One can did all the badging AND the JK's grill inserts. (The JK's original whip antenna is also dipped) $6.
  • The JL's side-indicator lights were swapped out for smoked LEDs. $12.
  • The JL's fender flare indicator lenses were covered with smoke film. $10.
  • The JL's stubby antenna - $15
  • The JL's halo LED headlights were $115.
  • The JL's halo LED FOG lights were $30.
  • The JL also has smoked LED tail lights ~ $65.
Do you happen to have a link for the smoked LED tail lights and the side-indicator lights you have? Plug and play? Would you recommend them to others on this forum?
