I ordered the single screw Taccom visor clip product after having both visors fail one at a time (and get repaired by the dealership, one at a time). However, I waited too long to install these clips and my driver's side fell down again. I installed the clips on both sides, but the driver's side clip loosened and swung out of place when I was trying to adjust the visor. While driving, which was an unpleasant surprise--and it's back to dangling. Is there a way I can put the visor stem back into the right place with the bulge up where it belongs, then install this or any other clip? Thanks!

You should be able to push the visor back up and reinstall the clip. The passenger side on my JL was just dangling and it went right back in place when I pushed it up. The Taccom clips both single and double work great. I have the doubles.

My jeep is 4 years old. The warranty is 5 years.
Jeep told me that the interior warranty is only one year and would cost AUD$800 to repair!
I decided not to fight.

Instead I bought - Stiueoav Aluminum Alloy Sun Visor Repair kit - through Amazon. The kit covers both sides.

Mysteriously I could not install them and my local garage did it for no cost so that was nice of them

China stole our guy's design. But the clips do work great.

You'll likely want to resist this advice, but redo with the doubles. They're cheap, and the doubles are as solid as a rock. Not even sure WHY Taccom has a single screw offering.

Sure, the new 2 screw aluminum visor clip by TACCOM is a quality offering and I would go with it for a repair of a visor...

But ....... IF your visor brackets are not broken, the Original, single screw offering made from Black Delrin, manufactured and sold by TACCOM is more then adequate...... Even Tim, the owner of TACCOM has mentioned multiple times that, the single is more then enough. He came up with the double as many asked for it and for no other reason per Tim.

I think it was due to rubbing

Do you have any wires going through to your visor?
Yes, and the bulbous part is resistant to going back where it belongs. That, or I am weak LOL

We've got almost 90k miles between 2 JLs and with the wife commute (east in the am west in the evening) the visits get used every day. Have we just been lucky or are you guys doing pull-ups on your visors?

I used the double clips and have never had a problem.

You've just been lucky. I've had 2 driver side and one passenger side break. I did a retaining ring fix on the passenger last time. Ill probably get the taccom or equivalents when the drivers goes again.

I've read a bunch of these threads and I've always wondered if people were yanking down on the visors or what. They've seemed solid in both of ours.

Timely thread for me! My passenger side visor crapped out 4 days ago and I was going to use the old retaining ring trick to fix it. Fixed my drivers side that way two years back and it's held up.

I had not heard of the TACCOM clips until today. Ordered the 2 screw set straight away.
