Stellantis has some serious paint quality issues out there.

Fun ones!
Take a clay bar to it. Be curious to see if it’s just not some rogue metal piece on the surface of the paint.

We all have our crosses to bare, ours is extreme heat, but you get used to the rust-free environment. Literally, you will go months without noticing a rusty car. But...cars that live outdoors long-term will get a strong case of faded paint. I think that phenomenon is fairly unique to the desert. [Someone once told me that using dishwashing liquid as carwash soap accelerates that process]

Every time I see one of those videos of some carefree Jeep driver splashing through the water on a Southern California beach, I think, you live in an area with no rust, yet you go out of your way to invite it. Looks fun though.

Claybar followed by touch-up paint. The dealer sells all-in-one pens with brushes and clear coat applicators.

Except you can't get touch up paint from almost any dealership. If your lucky they can order it and actually get it within a few months. But most likely they will keep putting you off saying it's coming. Right.

Just go online and get.

Maybe I'll pick one up tomorrow. I gotta get around to getting the rest of the detailing crap anyway. And mudflaps... this being my first white vehicle I cant believe how much actually kicks up off the road.

Im gonna do fluid film come the end of the summer. Living in PA, the salt is real. Just ask my 01 Durango that has air vents where the rocker used to be. Wax has a dollar value, but rust is priceless.

Oddly enough im suddenly happier that my own was on the lot for over a year (according to vin manufacture date vs when I bought it) so with any luck those days of sitting out in the sun etc would have brought out any imperfections by now.

either way this should be one of those issues were they replace the thing with another thing?
