For those that have converted the mopar XR rims into bead locks with mopar rings just curious about access to valve stem the rings you take off are machined for more room but the bead lock rings are not. Thanks

I have already bought the mopar rings got a deal in them, just curious if it a pain in the *** to put air in the rim after the install, it will fall before I put my new tires on and go to bead locks.

a straight chuck works best or I was thinking of getting a valve stem extender just for airing up and then pull it off after it is aired up. i have AEV and looks similar as there is no cut out on the ring.

firstly, i'm impressed you were actually able to find the Beadlock Rings in stock anywhere; they were on backorder for over 2 freakin' years when i was first tying to find them, so congrats on that!

to your point; i've got the original Mopar "Beadlock-Capable" 77072466AB wheels (same as what later became known as the XR wheels in a different colorway). the Trim Rings that came with them did not have a cutout for the Valve Stem, and i didn't notice it to be any problem.

I have the beadlock rings and am able to fit the Thor's Lightning locking air chucks (these things are fat). Have to wiggle it a bit to get it on but haven't had any real issues.

Mickey Baja Boss ATs?

did you have any issue(s) related to the tire bead thickness being thicker than the BFGs the Mopar wheels/rings were designed for?

Garage mounted these. They did mention that they were a tight fit.

I am late to the party, but just got a WIllys with the XR wheels and googled what I need to do to get them running beadlocks...am I reading this correct, and the rings that came on the wheels are for looks, and I need to order different ones for beadlocks? I ewould plan to use the package tires for now, and eventually replace of Wildpeak AT04 or RT01

You are correct on buy the rings and bolts to make them functional bead locks. Just as I side note I am fixing to sell five Jeep xr wheels with both the beauty rings and bead lock rings one of rim has the BFG 35” all terrain tire on it never been on the ground. Come on my 21 xr rubicon.
