The best on-road experience will be the Sahara. It's literally what the trim was designed for. If you want a more aggressive look, you can easily pick up a 5-pack of Rubicon wheel/tire takeoffs - they bolt right on.Last and final suggestion before I order my final vehicle tomorrow- can anybody suggests that is the Willy with ER will be bumpy on roads? I will go rarely to off road, so technically I don’t need ER , but I like the look. The only reason I have changed my selection from Willy with ER to Sahara because some people told me in road/ city traffic ER is not a pleasant drive particularly for the passengers. Thoughts please
That's what I did - Sahara Altitude package (for the black badging). Sold my stock 18"/32" Sahara wheels/tires for $700, bought a set of 17"/33" Rubicon KO2 take-offs for $1.2K. Paid Discount Tire $300 to swap my TPMS and remount everything and it's right as rain. I *did* add the Teraflex 1.5" spacer kit, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary.
With 33s on my Sahara and that small spacer kit, I've done a handful of badge trails and other stuff following Rubicons with 35" tires around. Granted, I have to choose my line more carefully, but otherwise it's the perfect set up, IMO. No regearing needed.
