Cold weather on the way. Running my new Falken AT4's at 33 PSI and its a good ride. However, at 30F they are hitting 30PSI in the morning. Called the dealership for a TPS Lower Pressure Change...they said sure..BUT it will cost you $178.00! WOW

This US Pricing is out of control! It would take probably 15 mins to change the TPS pressure settings. No fuss no mess to hook to the OBD and turn on their tuner, select the TPS change button and add the new Pressure. Hell a Snap On tuner probably has it!

Look into JSCAN for the most economical way to make changes like this.

I mean winter weather always lowers tire pressures hence putting in Winter Air so it doesnt effect it as much.

Well luckily there are ways to do it yourself so you aren't beholden to a dealer anymore.

jscan or my personal favorite and quite possibly the best first mod you can do to a Wrangler period the JL tazer mini. Both of these things will give you full control of the TPMS system and so much more.

I still stand by that on board air is one of the better first mods especially if youre gonna off road it. And would 100% be helpful in this situation.

I don't know if onboard air qualifies as "first mod" territory but by all means go ahead. Personally I've never aired down offroad, it's a PITA I just don't care that much about.

By all means, airing down off-road isn't a requirement, and you're welcome to proceed as desired, but it makes everything off-road so much better..... ride quality, traction, stability, etc.. The larger the tire, the bigger a difference it makes. Depending on what type of a system one puts in for airing up/down, it takes me less than 10 minutes (total time for 4 tires) to go up/down with 37"tires. (I go down to 14 psi)

As others have previously stated, jscan or a tazer are one-time investments that not only remove the tpms concern forever-more, but they both also have a ton of additional benefits/options.

There are a few people around here that are just willfully ignorant to specific things and you will learn not to argue about it lol.

There is a difference between ignorance and not giving a fuck. I'm the latter not the former.

Yeah, there are some people that don't give a damn about the additional abuse they're doing to their Jeep, their body, and their passengers. Those same people also seem to not give a damn about additional traction and resistance to punctures that airing down can provide.

A decent setup makes airing down / up pretty damn simple.

california has a special winter blend air the gas stations all switch too. It costs about a quarter more, but its better for the environment. Allegedly…

I love how all the contrarians had to come out of the woodwork no no you absolutely should spend $1,000 on your first mod so you can put air in your tires like really...

Too many people on the internet have no grasp of reality.
