Washer fluid got low, added more washer fluid and now there’s barely any pressure coming out of the squirter’s on the hood? I’ve checked the hoses for kinks and did my best to look in the reservoir for any type of gunk buildup, Anyone got any ideas?
My first question is what windshield washer solution do you use?
Hint to all: Do routinely, use both your front and rear windshield washers.
Do this and you will be a tad less likely to have a plug develop. Also, watch what windshield washer fluids you use.. do not mix brands of fluids..
Here is a video that will give you an idea how to unplug the fluid lines and may also clear a plugged windshield washer reservoir filter.
This is a common problem. There is an inlet screen on the pump that gets clogged also. There is a rubber connection coming off the pump (bottom of the rez). Pull it and blow compressed air into the line and into the pump, this is what fixed mine.
The washer hoses and spray nozzles aren't too hard to remove and reinstall. If you think there's a blockage, you could remove them and blow out the hoses and soak the nozzles in 50/50 water/vinegar or vinegar/baking soda.
