Which brand do you guys recommend?

I've tried searching this forum(10+ pages) but could not find a definitive answer

I am a bit weary of the rainX products. The rainX orange caused my X5 washer to stopped working (reverting back to OE product solved it.). I read the rainX orange clogged the nozzle for some. I also read that the rainX green worked for some.
I use RainX green when the ambient temps are no lower than 60F, and pivot to the purple formula when they are below 60F. I drained (recovered) the green and poured in a full gallon of purple just last week. I've had nothing but excellent results with each formula.

I hear you, re: the propensity of the orange all-season fluid to clog the pump motor and/or the fluid lines. That's well-documented, here and elsewhere, and I advise against its use whenever it comes up in conversation. Some things just don't work as a broadband cure.

From experience, the "cheap blue stuff" will freeze on the glass at temperature points above its alleged -20°F (-29°C) rating. It's not something I trust anymore. Such things may depend on where the user lives. Where I am, performance matters.

I used to use cheap blue. Blue has freezed to my windshield just outside the wiper arc before. I have used rain x orange year around since the stuff came out. Never a problem. Rain x did say a few years ago mixing the different colors would cause them to congeal. I would say flush the tank with tap water between the two of you are going to change seasonally.

When I am low, can I flush the tanks simply by adding water and spray the windshield until empty, then add the new stuff?

@Celtics18

Tank full or partially full... You can take a piece of plastic tubing and siphon the old fluid out ... siphon all you can then use the wiper spray to get last little bit out of it.

Yes, you can also use a Turkey Baster to get the fluid out of the reservoir.

Not sure about the jeep. I haven't done it in there. Every vehicle I have owned but one didn't have anything on the washer reservoir hose. Just slid on a barb. Pulls right off most. Easy to drain. Put just a bottom full of tap water in. Don't want to run your washer pump for five minutes or anything. It doesn’t hold much.

Whichever crap is sitting outside the 7-11 in -30C. If it hasn't frozen there, it's not going to in the bottle/hoses.

I don't think they sell that blend in NC. The winter blend here is would probably still freeze in a Canadian summer.
