So I’m on vacation and I say to myself, “self, let’s remove the windshield.” It won’t be any different than being on a boat. So long story short it was a ton of fun, for me. Everyone else HATED it.

The best part was within the first 10 seconds of driving. I’m thinking to myself Jeep must have worked out some sort of a disconnect for the washer fluid when the windshield is removed. I was very curious about this. Even though I didn’t have to disconnect any hoses or wires to remove the windshield, I was undeterred in my faith that the Jeep engineers wouldn’t neglect this simple yet important detail. Yup, my friend and I got a face full of fluid and the neighbors got a great laugh. The only plus side is that my sunglasses have never been cleaner.

Next time I remove the windshield I am 100% wearing a diving mask, and a snorkel.

have fun out there!

Hahah sounds like living through chemistry. I just have to know why you completely removed the windshield and not just folded it down? Fear of it flipping back up while in motion?
Because it was only 2 more bolts and I thought it looked cleaner. Plus it would have blocked the wiper fluid from hitting me in the face.

Lmao this is true. I guess that was the engineers idea of attention the that little detail you mentioned.

Check the Owner's Manual, it is technically and Windshield/Sunglasses Washer. Page 60 in the Owner's Manual.

Hope you can dodge bugs. I've had grasshoppers 3" long smash on windshield and bumble bees make big mess. I would not want either to smash me in the face!!! :CWL:

That right there is why I'm proud to be part of the Jeep community, folks.

Nobody ever posts these kinds of threads in a Tacoma forum.

To those about to rock -- or spray your friend with washer fluid because you removed your friggin' windshield -- we salute you.
Everyone on TacomWorld is right on the edge...from all the stupid chimes and nonstop beeps ?
