I couldn't agree more! 320,000mi and counting! I work at a dealer, and my Jeep was in the shop a few years ago when an Amazon Prime truck tried to occupy the same space as me (ouch!). Drove Grand Cherokees, Cherokees, Compasses and Rams for a few weeks. All nice in their own respect, but...

  9. Another reason dealers gotta go

As someone who works at a dealer, believe me, you DO NOT want to work directly with the manufacturer. It is a nightmare! Find a reasonable dealer, tell them no badges or branding, find a good salesperson who understands customer service AND the product (there are a lot of us out here), and...

Just strolling through some old posts this morning. That last picture is awesome! Out in nature by yourself, just you and your Jeep. Very cool! I had a chance to buy one just like that in 1990 for $3000. Kid on the way and not enough money - the one (of many) that got away!

  16. Dealer not paying off loan even after they resold it

If they sold it, they got a title. They wouldn't get that if it wasn't paid off. The system just needs to catch up. Check back in a couple of days.
  17. Getting in over my head

Been in over my head many times . . . that's where the good stories are:) On my way to Sunday dinner with my parents my son and I decided to take a very short little detour. 3 hours and a backhoe later . . . Dinner was great BTW. Mom and Dad enjoyed the story.
  18. How to fix hydrostatic lock

I hydro-locked my Wrangler (4.0l) with about 240,000 miles on it. I pulled all the plugs, hand turned the engine, sprayed WD-40 in the cylinders, replaced the spark plugs, and started it the next day. I blew a couple of gallons of muddy water out of my exhaust system, but it started! It took a...
  19. What is Bestop up to? (SOLVED)

I'd like to see a JL/JT style soft top for earlier Jeeps (TJ). No more zippers!
