Picked up the wife's 2021 JLUR in May, 2021. 3.6 V6 with e-torque. Got in the Jeep to move it yesterday (11/6/22) and got the "click" when I pushed the start button.

Sure, it's under warranty, but I went ahead and moved to an H7 AGM battery on my own nickel. I don't trust the stock batteries.

I’m curious about when you had to replace your original battery (if you have already). Did it fail prematurely? Have you replaced it preemptively before it began to fail? Tell me your battery story.
My 2018 jl is over 6 years old with original batteries

Did an ESS bypass within months of purchasing. OEM battery died at 2.5 years and replaced with an H7. That one lasted under 2 years but I received a free warranty (battery) replacement. The replacement is now 14 months old so hopefully it will last another year. Batteries just don't seem to last more than 2 or 3 years with all the electronics and parasitic draining.

Spouses OEM Honda battery lasted just over 1 year. The replacement battery only lasted 10 months. Next battery only lasted 4 months though when new, it only load tested at around 90%. Replacement is also around 90% at just 5 months old. I'll trickle charge at times but this vehicle is a hybrid with just a single 12vt battery and I'm sure that constant hybrid mode is tough on batteries.

2019 here with the original batteries and two Odyssey batteries are being delivered today. I'm getting charge warnings on the EVIC about the aux switches not available for use and it just seems a little bit more hesitant to start. It feels like they're on the way out.

I just replaced my stock battery this week after 26 months and over 70k miles. Running a fridge in the back of my Jeep most of the time on a single battery, I usually ended up replacing the battery in my JK yearly, so I was surprised it lasted this long.

Mine lasted pretty dang long here in CO with sweeping temps for three years.

I would HIGHLY recommend replacing them both when they fail and the fender liner swap from below for the aux battery.

I went to autozone platinum and they've been bulletproof

2021 at 36 months, I was thinking about looking for a yellowtop around black Friday, but it seems there are 2019s still going strong, historically I've never had Wrangler battery issues.

2018 bought May 2018 still original main battery, battery tester says still good.

ESS stopped working maybe 2 yrs ago, it sat a lot during covid so maybe that didn't help. Either way, it's now causing starting issues

Just replaced both the main and the auxiliary at 33000 on my 2018. I do hook up the tender from time to time especially in the winter since I don't daily drive her. S/S hasn't worked since early summer and I got the "battery protection" message almost daily. Funny enough today as I started her up, never any issues even remote starting, I finally got the "service stop/start" message and light. All good now!

I just replaced my "good" battery a week ago. When my Jeep was 3 years old I bought a new battery for it, what I thought was the best AGM I could buy. It lasted 46 months. It had a 5 year replacement warranty from Batteries Plus so ultimately I got a free replacement battery with a warranty for the remaining 14 months of the original battery. The battery I got sells for $350 in their store, the brand is X2Power. It is supposed to be better than Optima, DieHard, anything else manufactured. The people working in the store told me that they normally last 5 to 7 years. Of course use conditions vary, vehicles vary, climates vary, so YMMV.

My aux battery is failing....just over 3 years, almost like clockwork. But the Odyssey main battery is fine.

I have a replacement Aux battery ready to install whenever I feel up to it.

I decided not to bypass or eliminate it because I´ve got a lifetime warranty and I don´t want to give any reason for a hassle if something electrical or electronic goes belly up.
