At least you are not considering going with a pricey aftermarket dual battery offering that you really do not need.. That you will still have to maintain or have issues with.

For under $8.00 and in less then 5 mins time you can set your JL up to run with just the Main battery.

Anyway, get it done, don't try...... Just remember .... if you run with just the Main, minimize the use of the ESS... either push the ESS button or buy an adjunct that does the button push for you each time your start the JL.
Funny :) Just walked back to the PC from pulling the fender flare, disconnecting the trash Aux battery, and fighting the + cable from below up to the main. Just getting the cable up took 30 minutes. Otherwise it's a 10 minute job.

2019 JLUR converted to a single H7 AGM hoss of a battery. And I have a Tazer that keeps ESS off always. Hate ESS.

Mine didn't make it a year, actually 11 months. Jeep running fine all day, I was at Home Depot, jeep started but wouldn't go into drive. All the warning lights on the dash were flashing, went to off road pages and I could see the voltage dropping, the A/C shut off, then the Jeep just shut off. I was waiting for my son to arrive to try and jump it, Jeep decided to start about 10 minutes later, I drove home with just the check engine light on, all the other warning lights were gone. The next day Jeep started just fine, drove to the dealer they cleared the codes, said aux battery load tested bad, they replaced them both. Perfect since then, that was in early May.

Going off of the manufacturing date (Jan 2018) my batteries made it 52 months before I replaced both of them this past May. If I go by when my in-laws actually purchased the Jeep (Mar 2018) then 50 months.

I replaced both because after reading the forums here and noticing the ESS wasn't working plus the voltage seemed to be pinned at 14.6 while driving that I was just asking for it to die on me at the worst possible time. Shortly after replacement the ESS started working again and the voltage hovers between 12.8 and 13.4 while driving.

Mine died at around 32k. Both batteries. Replaced under warranty.
I thought the battery died in our 2021 last week. The Jeep sat for 2 days and it was DOA. The dealer checked the charging system and said it was fine, so they replaced the battery. Turns out there was a wire bundle that was draining the battery with nearly a 10 amp draw. So it drained the original battery so far down that it was unable to be recovered. Fortunately, I caught it before the new battery was drained down enough to damage it. So it took 3 techs 2 days to find the offending wiring loom, but they found it and replaced it. All appears good now. So I'm resetting the clock on the new battery and will replace the new battery when it hits 3 years.

Btw, none of this was related to nor did it drain or effect the Etorque battery. Just the main cold start battery.

The first time was after about 2.5 years and 30,000 miles. Second time was about four months later, a couple of days ago. It was towed in, waiting to hear from the dealership that it has been moved into the shop.

If we can't be confident that a root cause has been identified and eliminated we'll be forced to get rid of it. I can't have it break down late at night when my wife's trying to get home from her volunteer work at Give Kids the World or while we're exploring somewhere out west. This would be easier if any replacement didn’t have to be set up for flat towing behind our motorhome.

Everyone involved in the design and execution of this Rube Goldberg system needs to be reasigned to something more aligned with their talent and aptitude. Maybe cleaning toilets?
