I looked at the site, and it doesnt seem like it is too special. Just a pimped out pickup truck.

I stand corrected. An Up-Armoured Pimped out pickup.

Saw this monstrosity on the road today. Looks pretty armored and even has grab handles/ foot slots for outside security. It looks to be 5 tons if it's a pound. I'm not going to say it belongs to some trashy dude with more money than sense, but it does have FL plates...

Doug Murano on YouTube just did a review of this thing like a week or so ago, it's an aftermarket security escort vehicle for high valued passengers. Check out the video its interesting enough

Haha. Ah come on! Doug's a classic. But I understand his style's not for everybody. Wild vehicle though, right? I'd only ever heard of it on his channel.
I don't get the Demuro hate. He genuinely loves cars/trucks or whatever and has been doing this for years. He has some of the most in depth car reviews you'll ever see.

Was he driving erratically? Did he break any traffic laws? Was he threatening you, pedestrians or other drivers?

If not, then what’s the problem?

If I were to need an armoured vehicle, I would definitely not choose this. It draws too much attention.

I believe it is a movie vehicle. I was this or one very similar to this in Danville Va a year or two ago. I asked my friend about it and he said the owner at the time had bought it off of a movie set or something like that. At the time is was abandoned with the owner in jail. It looks just like it.

Really? What is it about this particular vehicle that distinguishes it from the thousands of other similar armored vehicles that are being operated by law enforcement agencies all over the country? Is it the plate? I’m not familiar with Florida license plate conventions and related requirements for law enforcement. Many states have plates which identify government-owned vehicles, but also allow “soft plating” of government vehicles for certain purposes.

I mean, nobody is forcing you to drive and/or look at it -- why let it affect you so viscerally?

This is the wonderful thing about America: we should have the freedom to express ourselves without the fear of persecution (although, that's sort of been dwindling in the last couple of years).
Vehicle owner has the freedom to drive an ugly vehicle, the rest of us have the freedom to talk about how ugly it is. No one is being persecuted. The concept that we shouldn't even have the dialogue is what has changed.

So, this?

FYI that vehicle had a 454 and was front wheel drive now a really funny thing is the US Army did have at least 12 of them.🙄 When I got to certain military base and seen them I started laughing about it. It was a RV of the 1980s. If the location of them had not been a restricted areas I would have took some pictures.
Sorry for the side tracking.

From 1999-2000 I was doing PSD and driving a armoured suburban, it was funny when someone thrown a rock it to the windshield about the size of a softball or so. It bounced off and over the top. I wasn't thrilled about driving by some of the anti-tank mines visible on sides of the roads overseas. After that I'm still not fond of shelf roads with switch backs too.
