What is this part on the frame?

This is my second JL and I had a gladiator but I’ve never seen this part. It’s on a 2022 2 door. Anyone know what it is? Thanks!

The offset crash test is performed with the impact on the driver side. A passenger side deflector wouldn’t help with the test.

Well putting it on the wrong side might explain why Jeeps still roll over and fail the test.

Yes I never could understand this as well. they put the blocker beam on the passenger side and then crash the Jeep on the driver side. Really weird
