By far my favorite is Knockaround, US made sunglasses from San Diego. Got sick of losing $200 sunglasses. These look awesome and hold up great for like $20-30. I recommend the Torrey Pines for bigger heads like mine and Premiums for normal sized people haha. Buy from my link and save $10….plus I get a discount on my next pair

Oakley Flak Jacket 2.0 XL polarized (and Prizm Polarized lately) for me. Protected my eyes throughout my previous life and have been my friend on all the stellar vacations along the way.

Different frames for different folks. The Wayfarer/Frogskins style don't look right on me.

Costa's! I have 4 pairs, 1 is prescription. Love them but with that being said they were all purchased several years ago before Costa was acquired by Luxottica. When and if I need to replace them I will probably go back to Maui Jim's or find another brand not owned by Luxottica.

if you appreciate performance and you are outside much fishing, riding, jeeping, boating, kayaking, etc, then you have to appreciate the functionality of Oakley halfjackets. I never cared for Oakley plastics, but I have now learned they are function over form. They scratch easily, compared to glass lenses, but they don’t fall off. bending over, wet or dry, wind or calm, they stay put, even if you just have them on top of your head, not over you eyes. My costa are cool looking, but will fall off in a split second. My Oakley’s hold fast and are impact rated. Not Trying to be an Oakley fan boy but they perform as advertised. Of course a cheap pair of Walmart Oakley knockoffs are probably good enough for someone less finicky.

Safety and style is important while wheeling or mall crawling.
Spring is here and summer incoming.
Links and recommendations wanted.
Stepped on my Maui Jim prescription sunglasses (ouch), so now I have Oakleys. Doing my best not to break them.

I've been an Oakley guy since following the creation of the Juliet x-metals and saving up to buy a pair when they released, I wore them until they fell apart from use lol, and still have them! I have some other Oakley's and they do function very well, but I am wanting to give a pair of New Wayfarer Classics from RayBan a try. They felt comfortable to wear and have a classic rockabilly look.

I’ve got several pairs of Smith’s, more recently I’ve been rocking a pair of Smith Headliner’s with the Chromapop lenses. I’m quite happy with them.

Smith Headliner

I’ve also got some Rayban Justin’s that I like pretty well too.

I have a couple of pairs of Oakleys and a pair of Costas. I like them equally well. The Costas are more for casual wear. The Oakleys are for rugged wear. If you sign up for Oakley notifications, they routinely offer 30% off, a deal that you will not find in any stores.

Now, if you are hard on sunglasses and/or loose them a lot, then look at the selection of 3M safety glasses at Lowe's, Home Depot or online. You can get poloraized, quality glasses for $30 or so. The trade of is that the frames are cheap. I have these for yard work and to keep a spare pair in the boat or Jeep. They are so good I may not buy expensive one anymore. Other good sunglasses that are less expensive are SunCloud and Wiley X.

I always get polarized, as it cuts the reflection and glare from the dashboard. I prefer optical quality lenses because disportion drives me crazy with crappy ones.
Here’s another vote for Oakley. I get polarized, prescription, bifocal/progressive lenses, so I can see at distance and read the MDT in my car. They cost the national debt, but health insurance covers half the cost of a pair every couple years, and the health savings account allows me to pay the balance with pre-tax dollars.

Oh boy, I have way too many pairs, lol.
A couple of pairs of Maui Jim’s, four pairs of Prada’s, one or two Giorgio’s and a couple of RayBans…I might be forgetting one or two, lol ?
