Curious what octane everyone is running. Their experience, and why their running it. At week 2 of ownership I’m currently putting 93 in (potentially has 10% ethanol in it). Roughly $0.20 cheaper per gallon than the 91 “top tier” stuff at the other station(s). Last tank I went 288 miles 17.1/gallon.

91 in my 2.0L because that’s what the manual says. Running the mopar 2” lift and 35s, mixed hwy and city. No 93 around me even if I wanted to try it. Getting 350 to 380 miles per tank. I noticed my mpg improves every tank. I’m on my 6th tank or so

92 since that’s what they have for premium in WA. Averaging around 20-21mpg according to the computer, but I haven’t calculated it manually yet. ~1,200 miles total so far.

I switched from 87 to 93 and saw a few mpg improvement (don’t remember where it started). Was averaging about 20 daily driving (part city/stop and go, and part long straight back road highway like). I’ve since put a 2.5” spacer life and went with 37” MT/R’s. (weight went from 73-103mpounds per wheel and tire combo). After correcting the computer for tire size only with a Tazer JL, I’m seeing 17.5 and climbing. Not sure where it’ll even out.

So they specify 91 octane. Our twin turbo ecoboost which is a screamer btw, has 87 placard. The 91 requirement would have me shy away from the 2.0. Waiting to see mpg on diesel.

This engine is designed to meet all emis- sion regulations, and provide satisfac- tory fuel economy and performance when using high-quality unleaded “Regular” gasoline having a posted oc- tane number of 87 as specified by the (R+M)/2 method. For optimal perfor-
mance the use of 91 or higher octane “Premium” gasoline is recommended in these engines.”

The diesel regen cycle takes a while. Would you be driving about 20 miles a day on average?

So the 2.0 4cyl turbo user manual specifies 87? Back in thread was stated 91. Do I hear 89 or 93 now?
