Hmm, I had a look at mine (2018 Rubicon JLU) and it's not wired the same as yours.
The wire that splits off from it runs your wiper motor.
Seems to be accessory power made available for something

That is one hell of a schematic!

Very easy to follow... so it looks like it is the green wire (backlite jumper) and it is the "assy pdc-aux".

Interesting enough, there is another on the schematic on the other side, the "upfitter accessories 2"

It's so a mystery to me what they could be used for....

That looks like it might be one of the taps if you have the towing package to the aux switches. Its the POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER (PDC) Accessory, auxiliary .

I think the connector is for the Auto Cruise control, I have that option and the other wire runs up the windshield inside the A pillar

It is 100% for the Adaptive Cruise Control. The JT Gladiators have it too. If you don't have adaptive cruise control, it's left sitting there as shown in the OP's pic.

Damnit! I was hoping I could use it, and find a match on the passenger side, to wire in cowl lights...LOL Oh well...I'll just run a harness, I suppose...go all old school... ;) Glad i found this thread, though, and appreciate the info gang - exactly what I was hunting for. :)
