So I noticed something was wrong with my MOPAR all weather mat on the driver side. To to circle tabs that lock the mat to the floor are missing so I am left with two gaping hole in the mat, it will be returned and replaced. But I figured I would look in the back to see if the parts are back there, no luck. All that was back there is the freedom top bag, and this nut. Since it is dark out, I did a look around as best I could and didn't see any place it might belong to. I will look in the morning, but until then maybe you guys can help shed some light on a possible location to look.

I did a quick check and the two end bolts were there. But my wife went out with her sister right now so I will have to see if the middle seat bolt is there in the morning.

Check out your roll bar brackets, your seat mounts and where your seat belts are bolted in (safety things). It is hard telling a jeep has allot of nuts (pardon the pun). The color does look to be an interior item that would normally be covered by trim pieces or carpeting....

Since it’s a generic nut without any unique characteristics, unfortunately your only option is to spend a weekend afternoon to go through the entire interior of your Jeep and look at every bolt you physically can with a possibly missing nut. I would start with safety areas as the post above suggested; seats, seatbelt, etc
Ps, I believe the rear seats have rear bolts also, in addition to the three front ones you mentioned. They are under the gap cover (if your Jeep came with one) in the trunk right under the backs of the rear seats.
