Blow up mattress, sleeping bag, cooler full of cold beer and fried chicken,

I remember those day. Cold beer and fried chicken were staples back in our early tent days.
Homemade fried chicken is always good, and cold beer helps you sleep at night.

i cut up a sheet of plywood. a 31x41 inch rectangle for the tailgate with the seats up, and a 20something by 31 inch platform that i can put ontop of the 60% rear seat when i lay it down. its scrappy but works well to hold me. then i just roll out my old MSS bag and sleep mat.

I use a flat lay hammock off the back of my Jeep.

Do you know how far off the Jeep that hangs? I used to hammock camp extensively during my rock climbing days, and I miss how easy and comfortable it is. Would having a big 37 on the back result in me constantly touching it?

We had a nice REI tent we could stand up in (in the center). Now mrs is spoiled, won’t go back. Tows nicely behind the Gladiator, OK behind the JLU.

I recently switched back to a nice ground tent (gazelle t4) with an air mattress and quilts and everything from my rtt with memory foam/air mattress. It was nice having everything up in the tent and saving space inside the vehicle but after installing a fridge and drawers from AAL and seat delete I didn’t need all the space anymore and was tired of climbing up and down and setting it up/breaking down everytime I wanted to drive to explore. Even if space is an issue you’ll still have the roof rack to store more and be less top heavy anyways.

That view was hard to beat tho.

I thought that was going to be us. Then we discovered we like to be farther off the beating path. Yet nothing beats the comfort of a nice Class A.

Going to put the camper on the road next weekend, from tent to trailer a work in progress.

I towed that camper in the E-Pro version 54,000 miles and spent 353 days in it. It was an awesome camper. Yet after a while my wife wanted a bathroom.

Haha! The duck wss a light up duck hanging on for dear life on some very muddy night rides!
