What are your camping setups?

I have a rubicon x with the sot. I also have a rat. but. I don't use it any more. I have been sleeping in the jeep on a deep sleep mattress. In an ideal world ( aka My dream world). I would like. to have something like an Ursa Minor top. that had some sort of slide away opening so I could have it on and open the Sot. I realize that it would have to have sliding panels or something I can. almost picture it buuuuuttttt, not quite. So what are your set ups and why ?

Stand alone ground tent. Can take it and set it up anywhere and also not a fan of sleeping in or on vehicles. weighs a lot less and less costly.

My wife will not sleep on the ground now that we are in our 50's I bought the Jeep with the intentions to pull an off-road capable trailer. This would allow her to sleep on a memory foam mattress, but we could still camp with everything else done outside with nature. We have camped more than 60 nights in 3.5 years and pulled the trailer hundreds of miles off-road.

$99 Ground tent from Costco some fancy sleep pads lots of blankets and sleeping bags. My 12yo sleeps in his(my old military) cot tent.
