I was telling my 48-year-old coworker about how I was going to post this thread today, and was mentioning to him how pretty much everyone on the forum is 50 plus, and how I don't think anybody's going to get the joke. ?‍♂ ;)
Saw this post on a thread today, and it really got me thinking. I wonder what the age distribution looks like on here.

I just turned 30 this year and now I feel like an outlier

Here’s my 2022 Rubicon EcoDiesel, 3.5” Rock Krawler No Limits X-Factor lift, 37” Nitto Ridge Grappler, RCV fronts, Chromoly Rears, Reid Racing Knuckles, and more

50+ is probably a good guess. Most people in their 20s can't afford them, and unless you're a "Jeep Person", it's not going to be the go-to family vehicle for people in their 30's and 40's, unless it's a second one of course. By 50+ people are out enjoying life and the fruits of their labor (literally, figuratively, or both!) and a Jeep starts looking like an awesome thing to have.

43! I got my first Jeep when I was 19. The suspension design and progression of the TJ is what really sparked my initial interest. Coil sprung Jeeps were new to the off-road word and we made some crazy configurations back then with lots of trial and error.

I'm 40 so I could've checked either the 30-40 or 40-50 option... I picked the first one

Like someone else commented, probably not a lot of 20-30 year olds in JL's mostly because it's a very expensive vehicle for most people in that age group. Hell, it's a very expensive vehicle for most people in most age groups. But particularly for college-aged people and people new to the workforce, there are often other priorities like starting a family, buying a house, paying off student debt, etc. that need to be handled first before dabbling in expensive hobbies.

But more than just the price, I think Jeeping just isn't that popular with the younger crowd. I know that I, myself, really had little interest in it until my mid-30's. I think most guys in their 20's are into sports cars and pickup trucks (or only care that it runs and has 4 wheels).

The Wrangler hobby, for me, was a progression. It didn't start with me wanting a Wrangler, in fact I specifically didn't want one for a long time. First it started with AWD sports cars (WRX, Audi S6), something fast and fun that can still do mild off-roading. When that wasn't offroad capable enough, then I moved up to crossover SUVs. Then eventually I got more into offroad stuff so I moved up to Grand Cherokee. And when I maxed out its offroad potential and still wanted more, then Wrangler was the only logical next step. Took me 15 years to work my way up through that progression.

+1 vote for 20-30. I've had my 2022 JLURD going on 2 years now.

You are a man of taste. We have the same exact hood, albeit opposite colors!

Pictured next to my betrothed on a rainy day. Rocking the stock suspension + wheels until my factory KO2's wear out. Already have most of the parts needed for upgrade ?

(Will also be going 3.5" lift on 37's)
