If you can add a photo, it might help get some more ideas. I'd suggest a plastic glue like:

Locktite Plastic Glue or Testors Plastic Glue

and a backer, if possible, to provide additional support and rigidity to the repair.

If it shows a reference number (20) on the diagram doesn't it still have a part number that can be ordered?

I ordered that part number but they sent me the front half of that piece. The piece I need is not available even thought the diagrams show it. Apparently you have to order the whole console to get it. I just tried two more adhesives with no luck. My next try is plumbing cement. It’s the only one that says ABS Plastic.

I highly doubt that part is made from ABS. I believe it would be made from high density or UHD polyethylene or possibly polypropylene, which is difficult to glue.

If you cant fix it, there are some JLs being salvaged out online. I've looked at some. You should be able to get what you need .

Nope. Tried everything. Hated to go this route but it’s the only way. Isn’t pretty but no one will know. Makes me mad my Jeep has only 13000miles. I’m gonna put spacers between the screw head and bottom of the console. Only PITA is I have to remove the console to get underneath.

I broke the same part on mine last year. I used the epoxy putty that comes in the tube made for plastic. The kind you break off a piece and knead the two parts together. I stuck a small piece where it broke and held it in place until the epoxy hardened. It worked like a charm.

I’m surprised it worked. I found out that there’s no adhesive that will work because of the type of plastic. It’s almost $400 to buy a new console with that piece on it. Don’t know why you can’t buy it sep.

I know of no polymer that can't be glued, bonded, fused, or welded.

If you cannot order a replacement, then hit up a junk yard or ebay for a used part.
