Just curious. ..

I've had my JL since October 2019 and other than a few small repair issues that were under warranty, I absolutely love my jeep!!!!

I don't think I've ever had so much fun driving a vehicle other than maybe my '65 VW beetle. ..(which i miss dearly)

So for me. .
1- shifter boot
2- rear window seal/ rubber
3- passenger release latch

All small stuff!!!!:fingerscrossed:

We had the passenger release latch issue as well. They fixed it before my wife could get her free cup of coffee and sit down in the waiting area

One year of owning it.

Replacement of the center console when the latch broke on the first week.

Replacement of the clutch at ~7000 miles when it suddenly went out while cruising down the highway.

Edited to add: flash update to fix my constantly crashing center dash cluster.

Mine is about 1 1/2 years old now and has almost 18K miles. I've had a couple of oil changes and the V-41 steering recall. First oil change they skipped my request to do a 5 tire rotation and a different dealer did the steering shock replacement and installed it backwards. I think they use labor not mechanics for the scutt work. Had it in several times to see why XM radio cut out so much and I have given up with any improvement. Had the FOB battery replaced under warranty. That's really it for warranty work. Steers great, OK for short highway trips but too much wind noise for more that a couple hour trip in my opinion. I've owned and driven 4x4 for over 50 years and this is by far the nicest and most off road competent.

I imagine they just put the cable back in the notch.... so did I... twice. . so when i mentioned it to the tech guy he said "oh, I've seen this before .... we had to replace the whole mechanism"

I just figured it woulda been a matter of tightening the other end but i guess not.

Did it ever happen again to your wife's jeep?

I had my rear main seal changed. Had 900 miles on it when i noticed oil underneath.. that was a great thing to find before going to work that morning

Hope so.

If whats happening now is any indication of the future it is a little troubling, however, if the fixes stick it shouldn't be bad. I guess we will roll the dice and see.

I am very lucky to have an amazing dealership that goes above and beyond to get my jeep back on the road.

I assumed they reattached the cable as well and that's why it was so quick. It hasn't happened again as far as I know. She says it's fine. I'll go double check

Owned a year on 28 Dec 2019...
  1. Rear shocks replaced because they started leaking after we had -25 degree weather.
  2. Center console latch broke. That's a mystery because I never use it.
  3. V41 recall, tho I had no issues personally.
  4. ESS. There was a loose wire that effected the ESS at long stops.
So, one year of ownership and it's been at the dealer about 10 days. Most of those because they had no idea why the ESS wouldn't work and needed serviced. It was just one of those things that needed the right conditions to set it off. Personally, I don't care because that's why I bought a new vehicle for, warranty. Now, if they had it for a couple of months vs just a couple days here and there, that would be a different story. But my dealership is really good, so far:like:

Edit: I ordered this, and I picked it up a day after it came in on the truck. So this wasn't dealer stock. I'm still in love:involve:

Jan. 15th 2018 purchase date, so far I’ve had both batteries done and my rear defroster tab a few times. From what I’ve noticed it seems the late 18’s-early 19’s had the most “quality” issues.
