If you are going to add mud flaps to your Rubicon, Weathertech is the way to go. They look OEM and no ugly logo like the RokBlokz. Furthermore, they integrate seamlessly with the XR fender flares.

Front I get. Any real reason for rear flaps? Protect rear bumper underside?
Do people just install front?

Hi,

I added rear one's as well, had to trim the filler a tad not sure if that's only on the steel bumpers or what have you, they keep a little less mud and grime from going under the rear bumper imo. Also people driving behind ypu might appreciate it a bit.

Regards,
Jim

I have the front XL flaps from RokBlokz, the logo barely shows on the black ones. I don't even notice it, but if it bothered anyone that bad they could sand it off.

I intend to do both front and rear for a few reasons:

1) Only the fronts looks kind of unbalanced
2) To protect the small parts behind the rear tire (bumper, etc) from excessive blasting (in my case, from sand spray due to dune driving, I don't drive my Jeep in winter).

Really digging the look of the weathertech flaps over rokblokz..

I have a 2022 JLUXR on order, what would be the best part number to go after on weathertech for a full set? Didn't even see Rubicon as on option when choosing flaps on their site.

Below is the part numbers pulled directly from Weathertech's site. This is for both the front and rear, but they do have a warning that state the Rear MudFlaps will not fit models equipped with optional Steel Bumper Group package. That being said I believe a few members have actually been able to make them work. Neither the front or rear flaps will work with the Mopar Performance Rock Rails.

Front & Rear Set - Part Number: 110100-120100

Thanks, appreciate the quick reply. I have the xtreme recon, rubi rock rails, and optional steel bumper group but I'm going to give them a try.

Hi,

Very little needs to be done for rear flaps on a steel bumper, I trimmed my bumper fillers a little on the underside of the Jeep, as for the Performance sliders the work around is cut a larger hole on the end, a little dirt gets thru depending upon how good of a cut you do.

Hi,

Those look like a tube style, was referring to the Mopar Performance Sliders, which are about twice as wide as the standard Rubicon-style sliders

I think front mudflaps are essential on a Wrangler used off road. After a couple of trips in my Sport I bought some Weathertech front flaps. I had also put rubicon takeoff rock rails on so I ordered rubicon flaps. They fit fine after I got them installed but installing them was a really big pain, the holes didn't line up very well and the hardware included with the flaps didn't work.

I just received and installed my RokBlokz for my 21 JLUR. I agree with CO Jeep above about the logo but with the black on black you have to look real hard to see the logo. Really like them so far but no rain and/or snow to test them out yet in sunny/windy NM
Can you post a photo of the flaps on your JLUR when you get the chance? I drive on a gravel drive frequently and need to control the rocks throwing once back on the hard road. Thanks.
