WAZE speakers issues

Hello, bonjour.

Well, that’s first for me. I have an issue using Waze. As soon as I press on the app icon, two of my front speakers turn off. They will randomly turn back on, then off again depending on the voice alert coming from WAZE.

It specifically does that with WAZE. I even switched my USB cord to see if it was the problem. But no, WAZE fucks things up.

Is it a known problem? Anything I can do to stop that (except turning off WAZE, smart ass)?

I have same issue, I assumed it was waze because the app has been glitching in other ways too.

Carplay?

Does it differ depending on the audio source you are using?

The nav input plays through select speakers, if the Waze voice output is muted or really low, it can cause it to seem like those speakers are shutting off.

Yes, absolutely. I have no issue with Maps or AppleMusic. As soon as I put on WAZE, everything seems to glitch in more ways than one.

Have you killed Waze? I have issues in both our vehicles with Waze glitching when switching from phone to carplay GPS. If I kill Waze after connecting, then restart the app it fixes that issue.

By killing WAZE, do you mean delete the app and reinstall it or just turning it off and reopen it?

Using the shutdown/task manager function (swipe up to access the running apps, and swipe the app up to kill it)

Mine does that too - its a waze bug.

The way to fix it is to open another app on carplay (music app or whatever you are listening to) and then go back to waze. That resets it so all speakers start working for me.

the only issue i have with Waze is the female UK voices aren't sexy enough.

All right, turns out turning off the app and opening it back makes the trick. It's just annoying that I have to do that every time. Sent an e-mail to WAZE telling about the issue and got a reply from a real humain being saying that they'll look into it.

Hope they'll fix the issue. Never had any trouble before, even in that shitty Compass.
