Trouble With Waze

Waze won't properly track my Jeep's location through Android Auto. It won't stay on the correct road, bouncing all around, sometimes won't go 3D, and doesn't show things like hazards and police.

Is anybody else having a problem with it? Google Maps works perfectly, so it isn't likey a phone or GPS issue. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I'll try my wife's S7 this week to see if it suffers the same way.

I had the same issue in my truck, but it was both Waze and Google maps. I had an older S6 and just went and got an upgrade to S8. Both work perfect now through Android auto... I suspect my GPS was FUBAR on the phone...

It is an issue with Android Auto and Waze talking to each other thru the vehicle. I know my husband has issues in his truck (Ford with Sync 3). Until Waze fixes the bugs with AA, then I think the best thing is to just not run waze thru AA.

The newer phones seem to work perfectly. I struggled with drops/AA connectivity with my HTC 10, but after upgrading to the Galaxy S9+, AA functionality is flawless. Connects every time, GPS is accurate and everything is so much more responsive.

Have you tried clearing cache and data / uninstalling the app? It's 99% the app, as GPS and data are all used from the phone and not the vehicle. I have a Pixel 2 XL and I don't have that issue.
