Warn Elite JL Full Width Front Bumper!

Mine was a bear to install. Directions were not very clear and had me installing parts only to have to take them back off to allow continuation of the install. I am very pleased with the quality of this bumper and winch. Took me and my son about six hours to install everything.

Was it the fog lights? They should definitely be installed after the 6 carriages bolts are installed with the the retaining clips. The directions should be revised, IMO.

Looks great by the way! My dad and I installed mine in about the same time, with several breaks for short periods of rain throughout the day.

I believe you had some reservations about the fact that this bumper was designed only with the factory steel bumper's fog lights in mind. After going through the install, what are your thoughts? Do the plastic-bumper LED fog lights seem secure enough even with two of the four mounting tabs cut off? I'm debating pulling the trigger on this bumper, but part of me thinks I should wait until they maybe come out with a new mounting bracket that is more universal. I'm worried the fogs will rock/rattle back and forth, eventually cracking at the plastic tabs and falling out.

You do have to cut off two of the tabs found on the factory LED fogs. My son said "dad, are you sure you should be cutting those lights...lol?" They do have a little movement and could crack down the road. The quality of the bumper is tops. I would YouTube an installation video rather than relying on the provided installation instructions...they suck.

There is no getting around it, because of the design of the bumper, you absolutely have to trim one side of the fog lights off. It felt pretty secure to me though, the plastic is thick and hard to snap. Alignment could be better, they are not centered inthe holes but it isn’t obvious from the front. The provided bracket doesn’t fit the halogens perfectly anyway, I had to widen one of the holes to get them installed. All in all, I’d rate the install as simple, yet a pain in the ass. Provided instructions are bad, and flat out wrong a few times. Great quality bumper though, could not be happier with that.

I've tried asking Warn if they plan on issuing any updates/fixes, but got boilerplate "We're not aware of any issues but we'll let our product guy know." response. I get the feeling they don't plan on ever addressing the concerns.

The only issue I could see them easily fixing is the order of the instructions. Otherwise, everything works pretty well.

Thanks for all the help guys. Finally got mine installed but now I'm stuck trying to install my synthetic rope on the winch. The dang puck won't seat properly no matter how hard I pull on the rope. Other than that, it looks great.

Man, the ZEON series really are enormous. Any idea what those square holes in the front end of the bumper are for?

They are huge, but if they can't get you out of trouble, no winch can. I went out and looked at my bumper. I have no idea what those holes are for. Their isn't much space behind them so I don't think you'd fit a light in there. You could throw some mesh on it for some extra design but other than that I have no idea. There are a few holes on the top side of the bumper for mounting LEDs though.

Hi Guys,

Glad to see others with same bumper. A few comments...yes it is a huge pain to install, the instructions are not clear at all, the fog lights mounts seem very poor design, only 2 bolts instead of 4! Mount the skid plate to the bumper before you put the bumper on unless you have little tiny hands!

For the price we paid, I expected better quality and design. Also, already have a little rust on the back side of the brush guard welds and the small holes through the bumper.

I had called Warn a lot while struggling with mine and go the instructions in color! See attached.

The good thing is that they do look great!
