Problem is I don't think big V8's in production vehicles will be around much longer. They will probably be dying out sooner than later due to up coming government regs. May not be a factory option in 4-5 years.

Obviously it is hard to predict what the future will bring. Electric vehicles are coming, but maybe not be as fast as some think/hope/fear. It will be a slow transition, not an instant switch. Gas vehicles will be around for a long time. New gas vehicles are soon to be an endangered species, but there are millions of gas vehicles on the road. They will not be obsoleted over night. I have no inside information, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility that the 392 will be with us throughout the JL run (another 5 years or so). I doubt a 392 will be available after that.

Some day, we will look back at this time period and say: Why were we so resistant to electric vehicles? They have instant torque, they are less complicated, and they have crazy 0-60 times.

If they kill off the 392 before the end of the JL, then you'll have to look to the used Jeep market, but by then, you may not want a 392, you may want that crazy fast, torque-monster electric Jeep.

For now, I would love to have a 392! :)

Interestingly, my sales guy told me a couple of months ago that his parts manager was searching for a Gladiator part in their system and stumbled across an ‘engine code’ for a 392 Gladiator.

He said that lead them to believe it’s possibly coming sooner than later. But, he also said they have no idea-

Hopefully it's a 2025 or later jeep gladiator Mojave 392 launch edition, I would love that for driving on beaches or sand/desert terrain and then keep my wrangler rubicon 392 for rock crawling terrain, like the best of both worlds there! V8 in a desert runner truck! Whoa :)

I hope they wait like 4 to 5 years on this because I would love to buy a 392 gladiator too eventually hahaha ?

I owned a gladiator rubicon prior to this 392 wrangler and I actually enjoyed having a truck bed more than the cargo area on a wrangler!

What are everyone else's thoughts on this?
Agreed on having a truck. Hope they make the 392 gladiator as well though I love LOVE my diesel. But I miss having a four door’s departure angle.
