I have a '23 Willy's with the Tech package, convivence package and cold weather package. I have this weird issue that no amounts of googling or searching have I found anyone having anything similar. I have replaced my speakers with the MB Quart MBQJ-STG6-1 speaker set. I've also added a powered sub inline to the rear speakers following steps I've found through this forum. So I can't believe my configuration is that unique that no one else has seen this before.

Here is what happens.
When I get a call, either during the initial ring or at some point during the call the front speakers will just cut out sometimes with a crackle and pop sometimes not. The other party can still hear me and If I switch my source to my phone's speaker I can hear them. Once the call ends and I return to music my front speakers no longer work however my rear speaker will return and I can hear music. If I move the fader to the front I don't hear anything. If I switch sources I have the same result. If I turn the car off and wait the time for the car to "reset" itself and turn it back on music returns to the front speakers. No other situation cause the front speakers to cut off.

What I have done to troubleshoot none of which has solved the problem.
1) I thought maybe the inline sub might have been causing the problem, so I temporarily removed it and completely disconnected it. - No Change
2) Upgraded my iOS on my iPhone - No change
3) Changed cables, amazon brand to anker certified to apple, USB-A and USB-C - no change
4) Upgrade from iPhone 15 to iPhone 16 - No Change
5) Disconnect CarPlay and just used Bluetooth - No Change
6) Had Jeep replace the Head Unit - No Change
7) Swapped the Left Front and Right Front since I sometimes hear static from the left front (maybe bad speaker) - No change and the static didn't move.
8) Around the same time the issue arose, my office implemented Teams Phones and pushed the app, I deleted that app (which I know I was grasping at straws) and still no change.

I was thinking I was going to put the OEM speakers back but its a PIA project, plus I think I got rid of them (which I normally don't do).

So I'm here now to see if anyone can give me something else to try or maybe point me to a permanent solution besides turning my ringer off and not making any calls.

For grins and testing, I'd try and Android using AA. See if that works, if it does I'd try another iPhone using carplay. You may find that this is a carplay anomaly.

I'd partially agree with you however, It also happens when connected via Bluetooth. So CarPlay isn't in the mix when connected via Bluetooth (unless I don't understand head unit technology like I think I do). I originally thought Carplay might be an issue so I did extensive testing with Bluetooth only and got the same issues.

Try going into the Music app settings and make sure “Sound Check” is disabled. Wouldn’t be the first time this setting has caused odd problems with head units. Worth a try at least.

Also, when the issue presents, engage Siri on your phone and then turn it off. Any change to car speakers?

Edit: baited into responding to an old post. FFS

Mine was speaker wiring issue when I replaced my speakers. Contacted MB Quart support and realized I connected my front speakers in correctly. I thought I followed the install instructions line by line but some how plugged the upper speakers into the OEM connection when I should have connected them directly to the front pod speakers. Once I made that change all my problems went away.
