I’m having issues today an hour ago with car play? Tried cable, also my dongle thing nothing seems to be working. It was when I left this am, came out of the store and won’t connect? Sat in the Jeep for 1/2 hour messing with this? Is anyone having trouble this am?
Hard to say, but that's a far different problem than what we're describing in the overall thread. However, assuming it's not a hardware issue, I'd try deleting any pairing you have set up from both the head unit and phone and re-pairing. If that doesn't work (or doesn't apply) I would recommend resetting the head unit.

I'm assuming you have the Uconnect 4

Soft Reset (Recommended First Step)
This reboots the system and often fixes minor issues like frozen screens or audio problems, retaining your settings.
Park your vehicle and put it in "Run" mode (press start button twice without foot on brake).
Press and hold the Volume knob and the Tuner/Seek button (often the one with the tuning bars) at the same time.
Hold for 10-20 seconds; the screen will go black, flash the logo, and restart.

Factory Reset (Use with Caution)
This erases all personal data, settings, and paired devices.
For newer Uconnect 4 (Around 2018+):
Go to the "Settings" menu on your Uconnect screen.
Look for a "Reset" or "Factory Reset" option within the settings.

My wife just picked up her 2026 and has this same issue. The audio cuts out randomly when connected wirelessly. With both Carplay and Android Auto. If the wifi on the phone is off and the phone is plugged in, everything works fine. I've been lookig at past post about this issue all over the place, as far back as 2021, and cannot find a real solution. The service department said they could not replicate it, then said it is a known issue that when the next Uconnect5 update comes out it should be fixed. I'm saying BS!! How is this an issue that has been going on for this long and no real fix available. I have tried everything possible to remedy this. Every disconnect, reset, and delete mentioned. BTW we had a 2022 Durango I have a 2022 Ram, both with Uconnect5, with Zero issues since day one.

I bought a Wrangler 2026 two weeks ago and had the exact same issues. It was skipping every 10-30 seconds. I tried everything and then tried this. Go into Apps > Software Updates and UNCHECK the box for “enable software downloads over Wi-Fi.”

It hasn’t skipped once since I made the change. You’ll obviously want to reenable for a future software updates when your home or whatever, but can keep off when you’re driving around.

Thanks!

Just tried it in my 2025. Got through a whole 6 minute song streaming from spotify with no drops. Driving around tomorrow will show if it's really fixed, but I think it is.

I think that was it. Just drove around for 5 minutes and no skips. Now the test is with my wife's CarPlay. I'll try that when she gets home with my truck. Thank you

My 2024 Willy's has CarPlay that will drop for about 10 seconds and then pick up right where if left off (continuing a phone conversation, map, SirusXM, w/e). I only use wired.

I ordered her new in 2024, but between working out of town and not selling my JK, only has 3,500 miles. I have connected it house wifi and have seen it update. I'm home for a bit now and getting ready for mods and any other sorting out.

Only rough pattern I can determine is seems to have 3-4 time at initial start up, but then not so much if at all.

It's not horrible but annoying as it drops the screen which might be showing a map.

I've got a 17pro latest software. I've just ordered 3 USBc to USBc cables to swap around and try.

Any other suggestions???
