Hard to say, but that's a far different problem than what we're describing in the overall thread. However, assuming it's not a hardware issue, I'd try deleting any pairing you have set up from both the head unit and phone and re-pairing. If that doesn't work (or doesn't apply) I would recommend resetting the head unit.I’m having issues today an hour ago with car play? Tried cable, also my dongle thing nothing seems to be working. It was when I left this am, came out of the store and won’t connect? Sat in the Jeep for 1/2 hour messing with this? Is anyone having trouble this am?
I'm assuming you have the Uconnect 4
Soft Reset (Recommended First Step)
This reboots the system and often fixes minor issues like frozen screens or audio problems, retaining your settings.
Park your vehicle and put it in "Run" mode (press start button twice without foot on brake).
Press and hold the Volume knob and the Tuner/Seek button (often the one with the tuning bars) at the same time.
Hold for 10-20 seconds; the screen will go black, flash the logo, and restart.
Factory Reset (Use with Caution)
This erases all personal data, settings, and paired devices.
For newer Uconnect 4 (Around 2018+):
Go to the "Settings" menu on your Uconnect screen.
Look for a "Reset" or "Factory Reset" option within the settings.
