It's an issue on Apple's end. I've been having something similar with wireless carplay across multiple vehicles.
It happens using wired or wireless CarPlay.

I’ve had the same issues with my 24 since I got it in June. I have sporadic audio drop outs using Spotify and wireless car play. It’s generally just a mild annoyance but I’d love a fix if anyone has one.

My new 2025 has the same issue with audio dropouts on wireless carplay (haven't tested wired). I'm on an iphone 15 pro with the latest updates.

I had a similar issue with the same phone on Bluetooth to the stock radio in my 2016 JK that was resolved by switching to a pioneer radio with carplay. I also don't have any issues with wireless carplay in my 2024 Ford F250.

After more troubleshooting, it appears this only happens when Wireless CarPlay is enabled. If you enable wireless CarPlay and then connect via USB-C cable it will still occur.

I was able to get it to stop by removing the phone as a saved device, reconnecting via wired cable and never enabling wireless CarPlay on it.

I thought this was an iOS issue, but I had the same problem on a Pixel 9 that was connected wirelessly, so it’s clearly a Uconnect Bluetooth issue.

I know this may sound strange but does it happen at the same location? It only occurs for me at one point on my commute. That area has tollway transponders, cell towers, VLF transmitters and others.

I tuned off the Wi-Fi in the car and now it works fine. The drops apparently were caused by the car's Wi-Fi trying to connect with detected networks.

no, it’s random. It might happen every couple of minutes and then it might not happen for 10-15 minutes.

Another '24 owner chiming in with the exact problem throughout the entire 10mo of ownership. It is annoying since it's so brief it's impossible to troubleshoot. iPhone 13 Pro, latest software(s) 18.1-18.5. UConnect says it's the latest. Tried turning off notifications, location sharing, background processes, pretty much everything i can think of. Only thing that works is connecting solely with Bluetooth, no CarPlay.
Also, wireless CarPlay connects to another vehicle with an aftermarket Kenwood receiver with the same phone, no issues.
Hope someone can find a fix.

Same issue in my ā€˜24.

I noticed clicking on ā€œSoftware Updatesā€ from System settings immediately causes the split second of music cutting out, so it definitely seems related to the system searching for a network

I’m having issues today an hour ago with car play? Tried cable, also my dongle thing nothing seems to be working. It was when I left this am, came out of the store and won’t connect? Sat in the Jeep for 1/2 hour messing with this? Is anyone having trouble this am?
