Would like to know this as well. I'm right on the edge of ordering and need to make the decision soon. I'll be pulling a 3K off road trailer quite a bit, so on one hand, I'm thinking the 3.6...on the other hand, with the announced torque specs I wonder about the turbo. All of you engine guys, please chime in!

Fortunately you don't have to make this decision as they will be making a turbo 6 cylinder also! Haha

It will get way better gas mileage, it will have 50%+ more torque where it counts and best of all it's a diesel..

Lots of talk about this already. Try a search.
Ever think about just ignoring a thread if you have nothing to add to the conversation? How do you know that search wasn't already utilized, either successfully or not? Nope, you don't know...you've ASSUMED, and you know what that does...

Well he's not necessarily wrong but I also just had a hard time finding my own thread that I started on Monday. It was more about the economics of running the two engines though: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/3-6l-auto-vs-2-0l-auto.2201/#post-30596

The Turbo is a better motor in almost everyway.

Good:
Fuel Economy
Power Delivery on and off road
Aftermarket Potential
48V Battery onboard

Bad:
Complexity

What do you mean bad complexity
Ive been told by multiple people who drove this vehicle during media sessions that the turbo 2.0 was noticeably more powerful from a dead stop through acceleration. Had better ESS performance, and was better off road at staying in the torque.

Complexity meaning it has a BSG ( Belt Starter Generator ) and a mild hybrid 48v system. This along with the turbo could present reliability or repair cost issues down the road. But for now I feel this engine is better.
So your saying this engine is better then the v6 out on trails and drive .
