Yeah, if I had one it would be more about the stoplight launch. šŸ¤£

I wonder if the 2.0 has a limiter as well?

I guess I was surprised the 392 did.
Yup the 2.0 rubi has a limiter at 100 mph, the Sahara 110 mph.

This I know, but I'm so impressed with my little 4 banger I want to see it anyway to help me justify paying the price of a nice starter home in this area for a vehicle.
Where the Hell do you live that even a "starter" home is less than $100k+? I need to go there for a $75k house...

Most people don't realize that a stock old muscle car from the 60's and 70's is slow in comparison to what you can get today. Even a Honda Odyssey can do a 1/4 mile in 15 sec.
Yep- but at the time a Jeep that could embarrass GTOā€™s, Mustangs, etc was a surprise to most. Stupid, cost me parts and labor, but the enjoyment of seeing the passengers in the GTO etc laughing and the drivers reactions was priceless!

13.8 for the 392 vs 15.0 for the 2.0. Drivers not professional but probably similar to real world scenario anyhow.

Sources

13.8 is what a 4xe will do, and the 392 is a lot quicker

while I havent driven the 392, its an NA v8 stuck in awd mode, the skill required for low 13ā€™s almost certainly involves nothing more than stomping the gas pedal and steering straight

392 = 10.8 pounds/HP
2-door sport 2.0 = 14.6 pounds/HP

To be the same weight/HP ratio, a 2-door sport 2.0 would need 364 HP.

The highest horsepower Jeep 2.0 that I know of is about 333 HP, but apparently the Alfa Romeo 2.0 has been pushed to around 400 HP: https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60264&page=20

I stripped Hazel down nekid and drove her today. Da-amn.... just the weight of the hardtop and doors being off makes a significant difference.

Yep - haven't weighed it naked but probably a good 300# or more without all the normal doors/top.

If you do is be interested in the result.
My guesstimate is right at 300.
My wife weighs like 120, so I guess I can't blame my slower acceleration on her when she's with me?

Don't forget about the 2.0T SRT concept at 340HP/369TQ. Not exactly an 'IRL' tune (yet), but seems like fairly safe and conservative numbers imo.

It's funny when we get an old Jeep in and when I take it for a test drive, it shows me how mine is like a rocketship compared to one of those.

Yepā€” CJ5 was standard with 90hp F-head, 3-spd. With 350hp L79( mods to ~375), Muncie 4spd, 538ā€™s (Warn OD) HPā€”WT was likely much better than a 392. But not easy- boxed frame, heavy TC from Willys Wagon, Detroit lockers, race axles, etc, driveshafts, radiator plus PS.šŸ˜Š
