I tell my wife I have selective OCD. To her thereās no rhyme or reason why Iām organized about one thing and overlook another. I donāt even undestand it. Several people helped me change a flat on our last wheeling trip, They put everything away āwrongā. Right now Iām in the garage pulling everything out of the Jeep and putting it back ārightā. I was very grateful but it has to go back a certain way. My wife just quietly stays away as I doā¦just one more thing.Let's just say, I have compulsion, but lack motivation.![]()
Iām picturing you looking like this with your compulsion for neatness triggered

Not my best work visually, and much of the red/black wiring in this pic is from the NOCO unit itself, so it's not there when they Jeep is "on the road". I was in a hurry to get the motorhome and Jeep ready to play nice with each other so we could hit the road.
Hey thereās really organized looking wiring thatās done wrong, and āfield expedientā wiring that will work for decades unless someone else messes with it.Not my best work visually, and much of the red/black wiring in this pic is from the NOCO unit itself, so it's not there when they Jeep is "on the road". Maybe I'll clean it up this year.
Maybe...
"Field expedient". I like it. Kinda what this was. We bought the motorhome in Cali, and my wife was already planning our first trip while we were driving the 2500 miles home!Hey thereās really organized looking wiring thatās done wrong, and āfield expedientā wiring that will work for decades unless someone else messes with it.

I have defiled many wiring systems in my time. Some of them even worked afterward. Not my best work visually, and much of the red/black wiring in this pic is from the NOCO unit itself, so it's not there when they Jeep is "on the road". I've seen your garage but will refrain from comment. You say that, but you haven't seen my garage.
Consider it my "estate". I'm hoping you gain much needed skills for my estate cleansing.I've seen your garage but will refrain from comment.
As I wait to check the voltage again tonight I did move forward with my 1922 photo project which somehow has been even more difficult than charging a Jeep battery. I struck out at both the library and the county assessor's office. Deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole I go....
And just like that the thread got real dark....Consider it my "estate". I'm hoping you gain much needed skills for my estate cleansing.
āCleansingā sounds ominous. Like either there are actual buried bodies or some sort of haunting that needs to be dealt withAnd just like that the thread got real dark....
I have an even worse joke in response to this but maybe it's best for off the forums so I don't get banned.āCleansingā sounds ominous. Like either there are actual buried bodies or some sort of haunting that needs to be dealt with
