Let's just say, I have compulsion, but lack motivation. 🤣
I tell my wife I have selective OCD. To her there’s no rhyme or reason why I’m organized about one thing and overlook another. I don’t even undestand it. Several people helped me change a flat on our last wheeling trip, They put everything away ā€œwrongā€. Right now I’m in the garage pulling everything out of the Jeep and putting it back ā€œrightā€. I was very grateful but it has to go back a certain way. My wife just quietly stays away as I do…just one more thing.

Not my best work visually, and much of the red/black wiring in this pic is from the NOCO unit itself, so it's not there when they Jeep is "on the road". I was in a hurry to get the motorhome and Jeep ready to play nice with each other so we could hit the road.

Maybe I'll clean it up this year.

Maybe...

Hey there’s really organized looking wiring that’s done wrong, and ā€œfield expedientā€œ wiring that will work for decades unless someone else messes with it.

"Field expedient". I like it. Kinda what this was. We bought the motorhome in Cali, and my wife was already planning our first trip while we were driving the 2500 miles home!

Mind you, I hadn't done ANYTHING to the Jeep yet to tow it, as I didn't know how the MH was set up!

I have defiled many wiring systems in my time. Some of them even worked afterward.

You say that, but you haven't seen my garage.
I've seen your garage but will refrain from comment. šŸ˜‚

As I wait to check the voltage again tonight I did move forward with my 1922 photo project which somehow has been even more difficult than charging a Jeep battery. I struck out at both the library and the county assessor's office. Deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole I go....

Consider it my "estate". I'm hoping you gain much needed skills for my estate cleansing.

As my buddy John asked working on my 57 Chevy PU ā€œare we fixing it temporary temporary to get home… or permanent temporary ?ā€ The latter won by default.

Battery is reading 12.86V after sitting disconnected for about 10 hours. Will check again tomorrow around 8AM.
