We have jl on 3.5" lift and 35" tires. Live in LA, hot, we are getting 200 to 215 on the road and 210 to 230 off road. I was very worry with this numbers, I called few dealerships here in California (not only the dealer I got the jeep from) they all said that it's very normal for this jl with the improvements we did and we have nothing to worry about. I honestly don't know if to believe what they say but we are taking it out almost every weekend and so far no issues at all...
I live in LA (not Los Angeles, which is L.A., but Louisiana, LA). Towing a 4500lb boat at ~55mph in ~90* heat.

trans temps really depend how hard you are running. the torque converter builds a crazy amount of heat when in the high rpms and shifting alot. I have never seen anything above 218 in my Silverado towing or fully loaded down with grade climbing. but running at 90+ mph through the SD mountain area isnt the best of idea as those are some good step grades for the engine and trans to be working that hard. but hey not my repair bill nor my ticket. The rule of thumb though is anything after 240 is burning the AFT and borderline destroying the trans which wouldnt not be covered under warranty

220 is fine. I have seen it go that high a few times when towing up a grade. Start getting concerned if it reaches 260....

The weight.
Why? Only in the US is the JL rated for only towing 3500lbs. In the EU and Australia, it's rated for 5500.

And, I have done several of the J2807 tests on my own to see how it does. 0-60, 40-60, both understeer tests, and all braking tests. It passes all of them. I haven't tried the 12% grade (closest we have is the Huey P Long bridge, which is a 3.5% grade - my trans temps rise ~3* going up it). I also haven't done the trailer sway response, as I don't have the instruments to measure it.

253. No warnings, no lights, temp gauge was about 3/4 but not yellow or red. That was a year ago and it still runs fine. Don't stress 220, thats a trip to work in the summer here.

On an average torque converter planetary gear automatic transmission, your transmission fluid temperature operating range should be between 175 and 225 degrees Fahrenheit. I have no data for the zf8 specifically, but it should also fall closely within that range.

I was driving from Phoenix to San Diego the other day and pushing the jeep pretty hard 90 mph+ a lot in 105 to 107 degree weather and I noticed that my trans temps were around 210 degrees. Going through the mountains before San Diego I had it floored a lot seeing how it would take the inclines and at one point the trans temp got up to 222 before I backed off it to let it cool down. It seemed too hot to me. What kind of trans temps are other people seeing?
I HAD a 2018 Rubi and complained, FCA said normal, I said not, jeep got totaled
got a 2021 rubi no problem, they changed the cooling systen=m,

What do you think changed about the cooling system?

The 2018 runs the cooler thru the radiator , which I nothing new,
the 2021 has larger diameter tubes carrying the cooling and it goes directly to a standalone cooler
it resembles the Millisso. (spelling?)

Absolutely not. The transmission cooler on the 18 is located in front of the condenser. There is no other fluid in the radiator besides coolant.

Went wheeling yesterday in a heavily corroded forest road for about 3 hours and my trans temp was steady at 199f. Coolant temp varied between about 185f and about 225f and the cooling fan was on about 70% of the time at varying speeds, but rarely at full blast. Outdoor ambient temperature started at around 45f and went up to about 60f.
