I like the full time transfer case and if the one on my ordered '24 Ruby X 2-door is as durable as the one in my Ram TRX it will be just fine! I putt 25,000 miles on my '22 TRX and so far 10K on my '23 and zero issues! While I have not 'abused' the TRX, Ken Block would have been proud.

So why wouldn’t you get the auto version then?
It's more complex (more things to break / go wrong). They have CV boots that theoretically can be torn by a wayward twig. I've read, but not confirmed, that you have to replace the axle when that happens.

I would assume it depends on the damage. A casual boot rip is easily replaced but if you contaminate the joint it will be bad.
