I just got back from Germany and I was astounded at the number of medium size passenger cars towing single axel "caravans" (travel trailers).
It reinforces the bullshit Jeep is spewing about tow capacity. Probably a number of reasons but I thought it was interesting.

Single axle trailers. Note the axles on European caravans are much farther forward than the axles on single axle travel trailers in the US. Hence, much lower tongue weight and a far greater chance of trailer whipping at the higher speed US drivers think they should drive. You think death wobble is bad....... It's not really how much you can tow, it's how much you can tow well.
