Saw in the Windrock group that they removed trail 16 from the program. They were saying some from stony were removed. Any others?

The one badge I want the most and the one I care about the most is the Rubicon trail. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Rubicon trail has a permanent place on the BoH list and would only be removed if the trail is closed permanently. I'm going July 25th-27th so hopefully the world doesn't end until after that.I mean it makes logical sense for the trail list to ebb and flow. The badges draw a lot of traffic that wouldn’t otherwise be there. For some it’s a good thing others not so much.
The foundation works hard to keep that road open. I have that badge and it’s a very special one! You will enjoy every minute of it, I also found that getting there was just as much fun truthfully. Dang loved those mud holes. They also removed the The Sought Loop to Marblehead in Michigan. Last summer the DNR formally known as the Department of Natural Resources, now known as the Department of Natural Destruction ruined the iconic Marblehead ledges. As far as the trail goes. It was a very difficult trail. I would bet that 90% of the people who claimed the badge did not run the trail. Why? The trail is full of huge water holes and deep mud. Like 37+ size tires may not get you through the trail. I would say a winch if not mandatory, you will probably wish you had one. If you watch the trail videos on Youtube, 90% of the videos, are the North loop to Marblehead, not the south loop, the actual badge trail. With that said. It is a sad day that the trail was removed. The communities on the island will lose a bunch of travel revenue. It is not uncommon for groups of 20, 50, and even over a 100 Jeeps plus the people visit Drummond Island to wheel and the crown jewel was the ledges at Marblehead because it leads to a cliff that is a beautiful overlook of Lake Huron......one of the Great Lakes.
Drummnd Island was truly a destination travel location for Off Roader, atvs, SxS and camping. It is a beautiful spot. I have been acting, snowmobiling, camping and Jeeping it for over two decades. With out the badge trail there, it will see a huge decline in out of state travelers.
The funny thing is the DNR said they destroyed the Marblehead ledges to make it so others could access the cliff side. Well guess what, if you don,t have a decent 4x4 your not getting to the ledges anyways. They smoothed out the ledges so a Subaru could go to the bottom. It is not like this?

Many many mud holes like this on the badge trail. Yes, we did pull the Toyota out a couple of times as we also recovered some Jeeps too.

On no! I love wheeling Drummond and the badge was an excuse to get people there! That is a huge loss, more than 16 is.Dang loved those mud holes.
You, if you know, you know. It is like the people that sport the badges from Redbird and don't have a winch. I know they did not run them. Do I care, nope, but they know they didn't either. I got so stuck in Redbird. That I put the winch line about 10 to 12 feet up into a big tree, the winch lifted the front tires off the ground out of the mud and dragged the Jeep out of the hole.Dang loved those mud holes.
What really grinds my gears is that I was supposed to go on the Drummond Island Jeep jamboree last year but my jeep was stuck at the dealer getting the rear end rebuilt. The trip had been paid for before I even owned a Jeep (the intent was to go in the Willys that I had on order at the time) and I still had to pay for one night of a hotel that I didn't even stay at...I wonder how big the financial impact will be they do Jeep Jamborees there, they have Jeep the Mac events there. I hope that the people that make their living from the Off Road Travelers do not suffer to much. Why because in reality, there is not much to do on the island other than off road. There is country club/golf course, but other than that. Not much. The beaches are cool in a couple places, but not many swim at Drummond Island.
