I was looking to get track bar upgrade, this include the front and the rear. I don't have a lift (not from my knowledge since i bought this jeep used but it came with KO2 33 inch tires, fox perfomance products) however im planning to upgrade some of the underbody parts and first thing i want to do is the track bar of front and rear.

My questions are which brand should I go? I looked into a lot but still unsure, I was looking into steer smarts more but i prefer people opinions on real life feedback

Do i need a rear track bar? or can I only do front for now?

Im not taking the jeep off road but rather do overland in the future, this is my daily driver, It's a 4 door. I want to do a lift (if it is not a lift already but like i said im unsure if it lifted or not)

First off, welcome to the community!

If you are interested in a lift, I'd recommend looking into which one you'd eventually want, and stick with their track bars. To start you off, Clayton is a very reputable brand that specializes in overlanding setups. They are also very active and helpful on this forum.

Steersmarts is a great company. I used to have their front track bar and steering linkages. Their track bars are very thick, and the adjustment clamps and pinch bolts occupy even more space. Elbow room in the front end is limited and there's a lot of moving parts, especially at stock ride height, so clocking those clamps to not hit other components is important.

Here's a pic from my original 2" lift setup...

Post pictures of your suspension, especially springs, shock, and arms. We can tell you if you have a lift.

I'd have to look, but I wouldn't be surprised if you need some lift to run some of the available track bars, so make sure you check that before ordering.

Welcome!!

As Headbarcode said, the Steer Smarts track bars are great, especially the Pro Series for larger tire setups. But they do take up quite a bit of real estate up front on non-lifted applications. They have released low profile trackbar clamp kits as a solution, but does require extra parts. Clayton also makes great components. I dont think you could go wrong with either one.

As far as a rear trackbar goes, without the lift it is not required. Even if lifted, most the time a raised rear bracket will suffice. If you want to be able to dial in the exact location once you determine the way the Jeep will drive most often, then an adjustable may be a good choice depending on individual set up and preferences.

You can run adjustable track bars at stock height. Just make sure they are 0-whatever inches so they’ll work for both heights.
You don’t need them stock. But it will tighten up your steering some since the oem has some give. I’d also put in the yeti frame side track bar brace and swap out the bolts up front for better ones

Luckily my close friend gave me a steer smarts track bar since he was going to gift it to me anyways. however, am i able to add clayton parts along with steersmarts front track bar?

From the shop i did my golite installment, they said i could do 2-2.5 lift for overlanding.

The other Clayton components should not have any interferance on the trackbar itself. You should be good to go.

So, looking at your original post, you call them Fox Performance Products.

The Mopar 2" lift, which otherwise looks pretty stock, has Jeep Performance Parts branded Fox 2.5s.

There are some aftermarket kits that may have included Fox "Performance Series" 2.0 IFPs:

There are some lifts that would look stock. I would recommend identifying what Fox 2.0s you have, with the right length you may not need new ones if you lift.

That's a great friend you've got there! We all could use friends like that. ?

It's perfectly fine to use SteerSmarts track bars, and also their steering linkages, with other companies lift kits. I originally had those parts with a 2" Dynatrac Endurosport lift, and than the 3.5" Metalcloak Gamechanger lift...

Just be mindful of how you orient the pinch clamps and bolts, to not interfere with other components throughout the range of suspension travel.
