Still getting the tire pressure alarm. I have 17x9 wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler G2's 285/70-17's (32.8x11.5) All 4 sensors are obviously reading, and I tried tire pressures from 30 - 40 psi, and the alarm will not go away. I even let the tire(s) go down to 29, at which point the pressure reading turned red and I got a message that the tire pressure was low and to please inflate it to 36 psi. I had it in to the dealer who, of course, just said it needed to be reset. 5 minutes after I left the dealer the alarm came back on.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly it is a Jeep issue and they are not going to fix it once it is not stock.

We have a JL and have tried every TPMS sensors made and the best chance is using OE Schrader sensors but on our 18 it is the same issue. PSI is accurate but the light stays on.

Here is why. The Jeep has to pick up the TPMS at every tire rotation to turn the light off and tell the system the TPMS is ok. The transmitter in the JEEP is so weak and once you lift and put thicker ply tires on it cannot pick that signal up every rotation. However it is picking it up occasionally so that is what is allowing for correct PSI.

If you already have OE sensors in I am afraid not much is going to help.

As @Goin2drt advised this is what is happening, it happens to me a lot after rotation but then it seems to settle down, if it plagues me will issues I will likely pull the sensors and run without them or go to my favorite local shop and have them turn the TPMS system off and go old school with a mechanical tire gage

Some people aren’t Having issues. It is hit or miss. If you don’t have the issue you can use whatever TPMS you want. If you are having the issue we have found the best is using Schrader. Also has to do with distance and ply of tire. Not all lifted and bigger tires are the same circumstances.

Also for less then the price of those Sensors you can by OEM Schrader sensors.

I installed Mopar lift and 37" Cooper STT Pros with zero issues for 10,000+ miles. Then the left rear quit reading about 5,000 ago and I had that sensor replaced but never got it working and now the left front has stopped reading. I haven't looked into shuting the TPMS off with my Mini Tazor but will soon. "F" it.

It does suck and is a Jeep flaw. Sad thing is they wont do a thing about it unless you are fully stock and there isn't a problem when stock. Once you go thicker ply and lifted (further away) then there are hit or miss issues.

We have tried everything with our Jeep as we are in the TPMS business. We have tried literally every brand and the best results with our 18 JL problem child is OE TPMS. When I say OE that doesn't mean you have to go to the dealer it just means you need the same TPMS that comes OE which is Schrader 20398, 29117 and the new 29093. We will see as the new TPMS gets out there if it is better.

Fixed. I bought a set of OEM TPMS sensors, had my balancing beads removed and the wheels balanced conventionally. All sensors reading normal, no tire pressure alarms, and the Jeep rides 100% better.
