I have a 2021 Rubicon that still has the factory wheels and tires. The spare has never been on the ground, yet. I assume the spare factory wheel also has a tpms inside. So how does the instrument display that shows each tire pressure on the ground know if the spare is switched to be on the ground? Do you have to re initialize something, or what is the process?
Thanks.

If I remember correctly there are three TPMS receivers that measure delay from each TPMS sensor in motion to identify the location.

The spare also has the TPMS but is ruled out since it isn’t rotating (I guess). Once it’s been moved to a ground position it should get picked up pretty quick once you start driving - Maybe 30 seconds.

Of course right after I posted, I did more research and found the answers (search is your friend). My jeep was built about March or April of '21 so it has the Schrader 433 mhz tpms. And now I realize that the system will pick them up in the correct location,
Thanks!
