Just so we're clear those Amber clearance lights are intended for commercial vehicles. The three lights close together in the middle signify that is a wider than normal vehicle. The two outside lights are supposed to be as far outboard as possible to show the width in the dark. Those lights are not intended for normal vehicles.
Fun fact a lot of people don't know Ford didn't put the three amber lights on the front of the Raptor because they thought it looked cool but because it's so wide it was required by law.
I don't know if it's illegal strictly speaking but personally I don't like the idea of people diluting the meaning of the lights by using them on non-commercial vehicles. In some States it may be illegal to run those lights on top if the width if the vehicle is less than 80 inches wide. Those lights are considered as Identification Lamps and identify that the vehicle is a commercial vehicle and wider than 80 inches.
Awe man, i been lookin fer a cool set of dem girly mudflaps. Ouch.Might as well get some Yosemite Sam “Back Off” or trucker girl mudflaps. ...
Thank God... I was trying to find something nice to say about them... but I couldn'tHahahaha, well I guess those amber lights are not going on my Jeep's roof ?. Nooo sir.

Not arguing, just find it intersting.I've owned several heavy duty pickup trucks over the last 40 years, both dually trucks and single rear wheel trucks. And I'm not sure all of these reported "laws" regulating the cab clearance lights discussed in this thread are either being stated correctly, or actually inforced. The reason I say this is because I have had at least a few single rear wheel Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks that have come from the factory with the cab clearance lights. One in particular that I remember was a 2018 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. A Power Wagon is less than 80" wide, but Ram equipped it with cab clearance lights as a 50 state legal vehicle. I have also owned dual rear wheel Ram 3500 trucks that did not have the clearance lights. I'm pretty sure you could go to Ram's web page and spec out a new Ram 3500 Dually, and you would find that the cab clearance lights are an option for a 50 state legal truck. The clearance lights on the outer edge of the dually rear fenders are required though.
Might have to look into something like this to add to your vehicle. Installation is straight forward.Hi everyone, can these type of lights be installed on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL Sports Unlimited? I have looked for something similar but all I see is in the form of light bars.

Well I am new to the Jeepin' thing and did not know any better. After having been hammered mercilessly for the last three days, I got the message: "duh" and learned my lesson?. I did learn about those lights and why trucks use them. Those are Roof Marker Lights/Clearance Running Lights for oversized Trucks, why would you possibly need/want those on a Wrangler?
