yes; i got a very non-reassuring “they’ll fit” back from them.

decided i don’t have a big enough problem that i need these to solve.

Did you ever hear back or try this? Been debating pulling the trigger on the same setup next time i buy tires for the MOPAR beadlocks.

Ive got a set of these that Im about to return. Ive set them for 18psi but they continue to slowly leak air past that. Do yours not do that? Seeing alot of reviews with the same complaints.

The first time I set them, I was able to lock em in at 20. Honestly though I was so looking to hit the trails out here that as soon as the TPMS showed 21, I pulled em off

Set how? They let air out rapidly at first, the closer they get to the set value, the slower the air comes out.

I am using the Boulder Tools deflators, cheaper knock off of Staun I think. Anyway I got em dialed in at home and so far on this trip in Moab they have worked like a charm. My wife kept an eye on the TPMS numbers and hollered when each tire hit 20, which is pretty much where I set em to.

You drove while deflating your tires?

In my 21 Rubicon the TPMS shows the pressure while parked and updates real time. Checking against a hand held gage the numbers were nearly identical

I've got a 21 JLR and TPMS pressures are not reliable until you've driven a few hundred yards or more. Others have reported the same.

As others have mentioned, most gauges aren't reliable below half scale.

I set them on my spare which I lowered to 18psi. When I tested them by filling the spare to 32psi and pitting them on, they let out air fast and do slow down, the issue is they never stop letting air out. They get down to 13psi and are still leaking air. Ive tightened them and reset them but they never stop leaking a small amount of air.

Can't tell you..shhh
Deflating tires is never as much of a chore for me as some people make it out to be. I have cheap ones from amazon...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X8VY6QD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and the first time I used them, I just timed how long it takes for them to get down to the PSI I want (usually 12-15 w/o beadlocks). Then every time after that i use the stopwatch on my phone. I'm sure elevation differences can make this time change... when that happens, I deal with it and move on. Takes less than 2 minutes to deflate my tires at the trailhead.
I bought the same set, and made a 4-tire hose setup so I only need one deflator. I think I have about $90 - $100 bucks invested in my setup not counting the compressor. I got the coiled hose and fittings from Harbor Freight and a three way manifold at Lowes. I ordered a digital pressure gauge from Amazon. I've only used it a couple times but so far it works like a champ. I do need a little bit better compressor though.

my experience with my Jeep is they are accurate. When airing down they stayed at that number through both trails, and when I aired up they stayed at that number the entire drive home. I have compared with both a digital and analog gage and the numbers were in agreement.

the 2 other Rubicons who finished the trail about the same time were airing back up the same way, and it worked for them as well.

Hi all... overwhelmed by the options of tire deflators. I like the Staun 4-pack (6-30 PSI), but the $99.98 price tag is a bit off-putting since I can find literally dozens of other versions - that look absolutely identical - for as low as $13.

I like the buy once cry once mentality, but for as little as I'll use these, I'm wondering if this is a case where the brand name is nice, but the cheapies are "good enough".

Any words of wisdom to sway me one way or the other?
To buy once, cry once when it comes to deflating, take a look at TeraFlex Nomad wheels.

That is a bummer, when I did my driveway test they did stop bleeding air.

You set them wrong. All 4 do the same thing. It's hard to believe all 4 are defective. When set to maximum pressure, they all leak air at 13 PSI? Why didn't you send them back?

You can't lower a spare to 18 and use that to set them. You need at least 25PSI difference to automatically start letting out air. Frequently you need to pull the plunger out to get them started.

I set them exactly how the instructions call for which is a difference of 8 psi. I had a difference of 14.

I havent sent them back yet because I just got them like a week ago.

When I set them at 18psi and put them on a tire with 32psi they never stop leaking air. Its very very slowbut its still leaking. I walked away the other day for 10 minutes to come back and find my pressure at 13 psi and still going.

Im going to set them to 30 and see what happens but if you look at the Amazon reviews, this is a common issue.

The tpms and gauge display are totally reliable, just don’t turn your Jeep off. Mine stays accurate as long as the engine is running.

I bought a set of Stauns in about '08, set them at about 12 psi then. Havn't adjusted them at all and still drop down to about 12 psi every time. Maybe they made them better back then, idk.
