Just curious if I'm the only one that is disappointed with Jeep's updates to the 392? While there are things I'm excited about, I can not get over the RED interior. As someone who put custom Red leather in 3 previous jeeps, I think its the wrong choice with all of the exterior accents remaining Bronze. Any chance that things will change and they will offer something similar to current black leather options with bronze stitching? I realize it can be changed out, but with the door panels, dash, & steering wheel all having red stitching, it would require a LOT of other changes too..

Yea not sure why they forced that decision on everyone. Could have easily kept the red as an option. Every other trim has an option on interior color why is it being forced on the highest trim. High velocity yellow with that red interior would be an ugh what is that. I personally like all the bronze accents inside the cabin.

I believe the red leather will be an option, not standard.

The new grill, standard F/R side curtain airbags, new alloy wheels, HD full floating rear axle, new display, Anvil is back, new soundproofing, red leather interior option, etc. are all desirable improvements.

I think we will see a modest price increase on the 2024 model. Jeep is fully aware that a price increase must be kept to a minimum to help keep the order books full.

I want those red seats bad. I had red ones in my white Honda S2000 and it was so perfect.

I’m excited for the new 392. For people who like boring I’m sure you can get black seats.
Plus it’s a 392 - it’s an insane vehicle, it should have some eccentric options

I’ve been wanting a red interior for my 392 since I saw the original teaser in 2020. Still trying to confirm if Katzkin will do bronze stitching and the 392 Rubicon logo in the seat (they do not seem to respond to inquiries). Might wait for the OEM parts to be available through Mopar.

I like the new screen but hate how it was implemented. The new grill leaves a lot to be desired. The current JL grill looks great. Why not offer the new one as a high airflow option? Power seats are cool but the manual ones are really just fine. The floating axle is great but from what I have seen it’s not available on the 392. Wireless CarPlay is great but I already have a dongle that works perfectly for it. So that brings me to the curtain airbags all around. Having kids this is really the only feature that interests me. Still not enough of an improvement for me to want to sell my 22 392XR. Wonder when the JM will come out?

The red is a bad choice. bronze exterior accents, red interior and whatever color for the body.....there is no good combination with the red seats and bronze accents. It almost looks like they used a toddler using random crayons to color a photo of a jeep, then the design team said "brilliant!" after a few too many brews....

Overall I like it, (but I was trying to order a '24 392...so it limits my options to this LOL).
Red seats...Not sure, cause I want a red jeep. NOW if they were two tone Red and black like some of the Mastercraft/PRP seats that would be cool (but that's not the case).
Overall As long as they do not bend us over with Price... I'm in.

Some nice updates in the refresh, but that new grill is absolutely atrocious in my opinion. The slots are far too short compared to the the 2018-2023 JL appearance. Almost has a Renegade look to it.
Perhaps its just the camera angle in this picture, but the change also makes the bumper and plastic skid plate look like a bruised bottom lip, accounting for over 50% of the front surface area.

The increased tow rating is a welcomed improvement, along with the wireless Android Auto & CarPlay. The rest are fairly minor IMO, but everyone will have their own take.

I'll be interested to see where pricing falls with all of these changes. The way the car market is, it seems manufactures feel the sky is the limit on pricing.

This is probably the only vehicle that starts at ~36k and pushes close to 100k fully equipped.

I agree the upgrades on the 24 are nice but I do not believe the upgraded tow capacity and floating axle are making it to the 392

You would think a FF rear would be REALLY beneficial to the 392... but who knows.

Your the second post believing the axle isn’t coming to the 392 ? It would be the only “upgrade” that truly interests me. I like the new wheels and more soundproofing would be good, but otherwise they can keep the change IMO.

It’s because the press release said this…

By using a full-float axle design, the weight of the vehicle is transferred to the axle tube rather than the axle shaft itself. Thus, the axle shaft is subjected only to torsional loads, with its sole function being to transmit power to the wheel hub. This stronger, more robust full-float construction enables a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds on Rubicon 2.0-liter and 3.6-liter automatic models.

I certainly leads to that conclusion. But not mentioning the 392 still leaves uncertainty, such as a 4500 lb rating so only the highest was stated. Why do they trickle new specs out ?

I was at the NY auto show dealer day yesterday and spent about 20 min checking out the 392. Everything below is coming from a perspective of a '23 392 owner.

The red seats are disgusting. I'm not a fan of red interiors to begin with, but Jeeps's interior is this cheap shade of red - it's more towards pink than towards orange. Between that and the fact that seats are the ONLY red part of the otherwise black interior (tiny red accents on the sides of dashboard don't count), it looks like ass. I think it's also possible to get red contrast stitching for the steering wheel and dashboard panel, which will create at least a little contrast with black. Some article I saw online said that 392's will only come with red seats. I really hope that Jeep is not that stupid.

The screen looks better than it does in pictures when you are sitting behind the wheel. It still looks like a cheap tablet glued to the dashboard, but at least it's very close to the dashboard, unlike some other cars where it's like an inch away. Another thing that bothered me is that the screen is asymmetric - the left side is different from the right side. Hate that. I could not play with the screen itself because it was frozen (good preview of things to come I guess :)) but resolution looked high. Those vents look mismatched with outer vents, but at the same time the presence of the screen above makes the vents barely noticeable. When I first read about the new screen, I was thinking they will do a nice decent size vertical screen (similar to RAM), but NOPE....they had to do this weird configuration. Maybe Best Buy had a clearance sale.

The 35" tires make the Jeep really uncomfortable to get into and out of. Again, some article said that 35's are now the only choice. If so, another moronic decision by Jeep. Not every 392 buyer wants or needs 35's and I am pretty sure most of them will never be taken off-road beyond some "green" trails.

LOVE the Anvil color. Gorgeous!!! Not sure if I would have chosen it over my Sting gray, but it does look amazing.

New grille is OK. I am OK with both the new and old looks. Each has pluses and minuses. The new one makes the Jeep look a little more "finished". As a trade-off, no more flat black grille.

POWER SEATS!!!!! Now, this is a game changer (for me). YES, you can finally adjust the rake of the seat properly! Yes, I know manual seats have that pathetic crank, but now you can adjust it better and the seat position feels more comfortable. I do not think there is seat memory though (I am not 100% sure, but I do not recall seeing a memory button anywhere). If there is no memory, the power seat feature is 50% useless.

Another nice touch is that the bottom portion of the dash is now a continuous line / single piece (instead of a few pieces of mismatched Rubbermaid-quality plastic) and it's the same material as the upper portion of the dashboard. It may be even some really shitty quality leather or some really nice quality soft plastic....It was hard to tell. It definitely looks much better than the current design...and it has nice stitching, which is the least people will expect on a vehicle that starts around $90K.

The new dash fascia material looks very nice and plays well with the rest of the dashboard. Definitely looks better than the shiny black plastic on the previous model.

All other interior materials looked and felt the same to me. If this is the "upgraded interior spec" or whatever was rumored to be coming out, it's pretty weak.

I am no winch expert, but the winch wiring looked a bit sloppy to me and was very exposed. I am sure they thought of everything, but I just spent 3 hours washing mud out of a million different body cavities in my Jeep a week ago and the bumper in particular was full of it. I can't see that winch wiring lasting very long in non-desert climates.

Wheels - I definitely like the new wheels more. Looks like Jeep finally discovered machined-face design that entire car industry has been shipping for the past decade or so. And then they say some things never change :)

The exhaust on the 392 at the show was black (or looked black). Good decision by Jeep. Naked stainless steel is not the best look for the 392. Black exhaust tips play well with the black bumper.
