At least it doesn't have the RED seats.

it may have been a lease vehicle. Looking at the dirty floor mat on the passenger side, looks like they had fun with that Jeep. Some people like to get new vehicles and drive them hard under warranty, and then get another new one and do the same.I have regretted selling my Wrangler everyday since I sold in 10/2022 and I have been looking lately and a 392 would be my ideal Jeep and these prices for new 24 Rubicon X's are crazy. Anyway what do you think about this used 392 below?

CarFax shows 2 Owners, with second owner as of 5/20/2024… this vehicle may already be soldI have regretted selling my Wrangler everyday since I sold in 10/2022 and I have been looking lately and a 392 would be my ideal Jeep and these prices for new 24 Rubicon X's are crazy. Could the 2’nd owner be the dealer ? Honest question, I don’t know how it works.CarFax shows 2 Owners, with second owner as of 5/20/2024… this vehicle may already be sold
Dealers and wholesalers don’t register the vehicles, so “owners”, in carfax and such, means registered owners.Could the 2’nd owner be the dealer ? Honest question, I don’t know how it works.
A shame. At least it doesn't have the RED seats.
I may be biased, but I think you should look at a used 392 for sale with WAY less mileage... mine.I have regretted selling my Wrangler everyday since I sold in 10/2022 and I have been looking lately and a 392 would be my ideal Jeep and these prices for new 24 Rubicon X's are crazy. do all anti-theft lug nuts extend so much outwards as the one in the very last pic?
The security lug nuts in the linked 392 ad are the McGard brand. Their appearance is identical to the same locks that I purchased for my JLU. Yes, they do stick out a bit further than I'd prefer, but the spinning collar also makes them a bit more difficult to remove.No- those look like the Mopar ones mine came with, designed for easy vice-grip removal. I threw them away and got a McGard full set with locks
+1.I would ask one salesperson why it was traded in and possibly find another salesperson and see if the story matches,...
Ive driven a few JL 392s and I own a 21 XR 392 on 37s.
I HIGHLY recommend you get a XR. The gearing is and wheels are worth it over a regular 392. If you pay to regear a normal 392 expect to pay $2.2-$2.6k.
In addition to the above, should check to see if the engine has been replaced among other things. Dealership replaced the engine in my 22 after it blew, I sold it to them after getting tired of the jeepcares, fca, and dealership run around and waiting. Dealership did not disclose that repair to the next buyer. Only reason I know that is received a call from the new owner's lawyer asking about the history. Sounded like the dealership did not do a great job pulling and replacing the engine and it was giving the new owner trouble.Exhaust may be crooked from a rear impact. Check for any rear frame damage, overspray, signs of body work.
I live on the western slope. Run the San Juans all the time. Elevation does, yes, hurt power. BUT, the 392 still has plenty of power and no, the 4xe will not eclipse it.I've been looking to upgrade my 2018s and agreed 2024 jeep prices are insane. I'm looking at 2023s now. I think you are doing the right thing. It looks pretty good. Not a bad price. Low mileage. I'd definitely consider that one if I wanted a 392. I'm looking at a 4xe right now, but a 392 would be a lot of fun.
Its funny, but you are in Denver. I'm in aurora. The issue that I had getting a 392 is we take a big power hit up here at 5 to 6000 feet. I thought a 4xe might be better since it is half electric motor and the torque would be nice. I'd be interested to see how a 392 and 4xe would stack up at elevation. I'm sure its still more than fast enough, but I know my 5.0 mustang was just getting horrible 0-60 times up here by my house vs the guys at sea level.
