Well, I did say I'm glad you're okay at the time.
Looks like you're more than okay. Fire? ...Upgrade!

For what it's worth, when my jeep was totaled Geico sent me the money for a replacement in four days.

Hmmm- Man’s Jeep burns in an unfortunate fire, makes an insurance claim…
his replacement is a much more expensive one.

I haven't been back up to see the scorch mark but I probably should get a pic of it for posterity.

After mine burned to the ground (I'll show a pic of the old and new for those that missed it) I replaced it with a 392 in Sarge Green. This thing is a beast. It's almost scary fast when trying to accelerate around a corner. I absolutely love it!

It feels good to have a Jeep again. I know mine only burned down a week ago but I've really missed having a Jeep in the garage. I think I'll keep it stock for a little while. I know, I know, famous last words :)

VERY NICE! Congrats!

So...can you share exactly, step by step, how do you get your Jeep to ignite?

No better rebound than a low mileage looker with more under the hood. 👍

As Roky said, those bullet cones on the front bumper would have to go, find some originals, ask the dealership if they have any original laying around, they are required to put those on with a winch kit install for safety compliance bs.

Congrats on the 392!! Talk about one heck of a replacement!

I said the exact same thing and 24 hours later I pulled the end caps off mine and now have Metalcloak Undercloak skids on the way lol.

For those that asked I don't know what caused the fire. It overheated and then poof. My Father-in-law thinks that whatever caused it to overheat so fast was the cause of the fire also. When the engine gets that hot it tends to warp which then allows oil to come out which could have ht the hot turbo and ignited but I just don't know.

I loved my old Jeep. We were really in sync if that makes sense. It had 156,000 miles on it. I'm retired so those are all fun miles. It put a smile on my face every time I drove her. I have to admit though my smile is a little bigger when I drive the 392 :)

Now I need to figure out what car to get my wife. I'm leaning towards a Jetta but haven't decided yet. Any suggestions?
